The next morning, light entered the room and woke the two people currently on the bed.

Sophia started complaining even before opening her eyes about how they forgot to close the curtains. Yuzuru just laughed at her silliness.

"It's not funny"

"You have rehearsal in an hour, Soph, you would have to wake up either way."

"Why couldn't it be in the afternoon?"

"Are you always this grumpy in the morning?" he teased her.

"Sometimes"

Only then did she notice they were still very close, almost wrapped around one another.

"This feels good though" he said and she just wrapped herself more in his body.

"Yes"

The next nights were very similar to that one. Rehearsals and shows between their way, the two only saw each other briefly at the show, exchanging looks every now and then or when Yuzuru was inviting himself to her hotel room.

Sophia figured he was doing this because it was a place where no one would bother him, where he could just be himself and without anyone pestering him about sponsors or interviews.

She enjoyed this, having him around without any expectations, but knew it was dangerous for her heart. They were getting closer and closer. Emotionally, she was a very attached person and Sophia didn't even want to imagine how it would be when the tour ended.

Their nights would be spent cuddling and rambling about their days, all innocent touches. She expected him to take over every night and follow with their agreement but after that first small kiss she gave him, none of them had tried anything remotely close.

The night of the last show in Kanazawa, she watched the skater enter the final number with pooh ears on his head and smiled with affection. Yuzuru was not only really good-looking, but he could also make himself appear a cutie without much effort.

She loved the way he looked while skating. Loved even more whenever he was doing a spin and a small patch of skin would show, teasing her with the surely defined torso she had felt every night since he arrived in Kanazawa. Her fingers had explored teasingly but she never dared to look, not without his open permission.

By now, every show ended up with her being a bit more frustrated that they weren't going beyond cuddling, but the girl was too shy to even mention it to him.

The break came, and the two had to inevitably part ways. Sophia was visiting a few cities in Japan in the first week of brake, he had helped her make a small itinerary during their nights. The girl would be off for a week and a half and then get to Kobe where they would have some Rehearsals with Shinya before the show.

From the Kobe show forwards, they wouldn't have any rest between shows. Performing for 3 days and then immediately traveling to the next destination. It would be three long weeks and because of this, Yuzuru didn't dare to ask what he wanted. For her to come to Sendai with him, maybe even meet all his family, she could stay at his house. He knew if they did it that his mother would know immediately that this 'friend' of his wasn't just a small endeavor.

Yumi knew her son well enough, she knew where he had been spending his nights. So far she had been silent about it, figuring he was having casual fun with the musician. She was fine with it, as long as both parties knew what was going on.

Once the break came, the mother changed her perspective.

The boy was as grumpy as ever, complaining about plenty of small, meaningless things. Nothing was up to his standards, he wasn't sleeping properly, and got mad every time a certain musician would take too long to answer a text. Yumi knew it then. Whether her son wanted to admit it or not, somewhere along the way, he had developed feelings for the foreign violinist and she knew he would get his heart broken because of it.

The mother didn't blame the girl, the exchanges she had seen made her suspicious that maybe things weren't as simple as they seemed for the musician either.

Any mother would protect their cubs, and Yumi thought about it. But she also knew that some life experiences had to be lived in other to learn. They were both grown up, they had to learn things too, even if it was the hard way.

Sophia's week was over too soon, she had enjoyed visiting Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe. The Japanese culture fascinated her and she wondered if she would ever have the opportunity to come back and know a bit more. Maybe they could invite her again for the show next year, the orchestra could give her a pass to miss a month or two for other projects, she wouldn't be the first to do so.

She had been texting Yuzuru occasionally but didn't miss that his answers were not always as nice as she expected. Was he mad?

After waiting a week for explanations, she totally forgot that she was slightly annoyed at the skater once she saw him at the Kobe venue, looking as good as ever.

"Yuzuu" she had said excitedly before jumping into his arms, not a care in the world to anyone watching.

"Hey, beautiful"  he answered, tightening his hold on her as soon as he felt her warmth.

Shinya watched the exchange from the distance with a knowing smile.
From the beginning, he had seen Yuzuru admiring the girl and was sure there was something there before any of them did.

"As cute as you both look, we have a rehearsal to do" the pianist said to their embarrassment, bringing red to both their cheeks.

"Hum... I'll get ready and see you on the ice"

"Okay"
