The flight to Toronto was relatively calm and easy.
Thankfully it only took about two hours in the air to arrive at their destination. Yuzuru, as always insisted on carrying most of the stuff, including her violin and bag while struggling with his own luggage.
Sophia gulped when he informed her on arrival that Yumi would pick them up from the airport. Despite what Yuzuru had told her about his mom liking her, Soph was still uncertain about how their meeting would go.
He was noticeably very familiar with the place, moving with practiced movements through the huge building, knowing exactly where everything was. Despite being here before, Sophia wasn't half familiar with the place compared to him.
The airport was crowded but no one seemed to pay any attention to them. When they reached the area of arrivals, Sophia spotted his mother right away, the Japanese features being too distinctive to miss.
The older woman had a big smile on her face and greeted her son with a hug and a million questions uttered in rapid Japanese.
Somewhere along the conversation he must have noticed how they had been straight up ignoring her and interrupted it immediately.
"Okasan... This is Sophia" he introduced in English now. "My girlfriend" he added, bringing a bright red blush to her face.
"Ah, finally!" Sophia heard. "You're even more beautiful up close! It's nice to meet you Sophia-san"
"Hum... You too. Mrs. Hanyu... Yumi-san...hum" Sophia said hesitantly.
"Yumi is fine... Please, there's no need for Japanese etiquette here in Canada"
Sophia smiled at the older woman and thanked her silently with the best bow she could muster. Maybe it wouldn't be half as bad as she expected. "You must be tired, let's get you home!"They walked side by side as the older woman guided them in direction of the car. Once they were finally inside, instead of sitting in the front, Yuzuru said something to his mom in Japanese and sat in the back seat at Sophia's side.
"You don't have to..."
"Shh... Let me be the one deciding that. You don't mind, do you mama?"
"No, doesn't bother me at all."
For the first time since they left the hotel room in the States, Yuzuru wrapped his hand around hers and smiled gently without any words. The feelings were ever so present without any words needed to express them.
It didn't take too long to arrive at the familiar place that would now be her home. Unlike expected, the other woman not only seemed to really like having Sophia here, but she also made sure to give her a tour around the house and make sure the musician knew where everything was.
Of course, the girl already knew where most of the things were from her last stay, but it felt rude to mention it to the skater's mother.
During dinner, Sophia started growing far more comfortable with Yuzuru's mother. Turns out that not only was she incredibly nice to the girl, but she was also a fan of classical music, making it a topic that they would end up meddling with a lot.
Soph was sure that Yuzuru started growing bored of their long conversation about their favorite composers and pieces of music. Yumi seemed incredibly interested to hear a musician's point of view on certain aspects and they barely noticed the time going by as they spoke.
Meanwhile, the man had his head supported on his hands and was barely listening to them, he liked the topic too, but not to the point of discussion they reached. Not only that, he was feeling incredibly tired from the travel and only wanted to go to bed. He wouldn't do so until Sophia was going too, but it didn't mean he wasn't begging them silently to stop talking.
"I think someone has had enough of the conversation" he heard his mother say and giggle at his current pose and mood.
The skater straightened himself immediately and apologized."Sorry, just tired"
"Don't apologize... I'm the one who doesn't shut up. Just for change since Yuzu is always the one talking" Yumi said laughing and Sophia joined her. "I won't disturb you further...Go to bed. Both of you. I will see you tomorrow. Have a goodnight."
"Goodnight" Sophia said softly before Yumi turned and left the room, heading to her bedroom.
The musician turned to Yuzuru and stood up too, offering her hand for him to take and follow her.Part of Soph was still a bit reticent about spending the night in the same bed as him when his mother was in the same building, but the reassurance that the older woman seemed to approve of them and didn't mention a thing about the sleeping accommodations reassured her slightly.
As soon as they were inside his bedroom, Yuzuru pinned her to the door and captured her lips passionately, surprising her with the sudden change of attitude.
"I've been wanting to do this ever since we got here" he said, moving to her neck.
Sophia giggled and held his waist while he kept his ministrations.
"Feels good""You were great with my mom. Thank you for your patience."
"I genuinely love speaking with her, she knows a lot about music"
"She does. It makes me happy that you get along. But I couldn't wait to get you out of there"
Yuzuru's touch got more purposeful and Sophia stopped his hands right away.
"No sex"
His eyes widened in surprise. To be fair, he seemed to try to hide his surprise but still failed miserably to do so.
"Why?"
"Your mom is in the closest room, probably trying to sleep?"
He stopped in his tracks and look straight into her eyes. "So, no sex if my mom is in the house?"
"Maybe?"
"Celibacy doesn't suit us, Soph"
"We can find a way"
"Ahh, fine" Yuzuru groaned and guided her to the bed. He watched her with an intense look as she stripped off her clothes and got dressed into her pajamas.
He would need to find a way to make Sophia lose control, no matter who was around. This, of course, was because he didn't plan on not having sex for months because of his mother.
Celibacy truly didn't suit them.
