Sonic woke up on the runway of stardust speedway he looked around and noticed the sky was blood red with smoke and a noticeable stench of rotting meat in the air
*sonic* ugh what is that smell- OH SHIT!!!
He then looked in front of him seeing a scorched and mutilated wolf mobian
*sonic* w- WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?!
Sonic then turned around and started to run just to see two more corpses which were also scorched
*sonic* oh God I'm gonna either vomit or pass out! I need a view point... or a way out from this area
Sonic then started running down the runway finally leaving the rotting stench and kept running he then looked and saw that the entirety of stardust speedway was powered down and a thick red cloud looming over the entirety of it
*sonic* this has to be hell on earth... okay calm down sonic this might not be bad.. just gotta get the ruby! Thats probably been the plot of the last three chapters so it shouldn't take that long!... hell I'm pretty sure I kept the original one in the mystic ruins so it should be there in this universe as well!
Sonic then went full speed running down stardust speedway he got halfway through until he noticed something... off
*sonic* huh.. I haven't seen any animals for miles thats weird...
Sonic then sniffed the air and smelt a noticeable change in the smell
*sonic* am I smelling... smoke?!
Just then from below the runway an all too familiar fire powered robotic sonic emerged leaving a smoke trail while flying
*furnace* how the fuck are you alive? I killed you!!
*sonic* I could say the same but I'm sure you wouldn't understand
*furnace* doesn't matter! The dr will be ecstatic when I bring you in as his next meal!
*sonic* wait a minute... charred mobians.. smoke in the sky.. SHIT IM IN THE STARVED UNIVERSE!!
Furnace then started Closing in on sonic but sonic then boosted forward narrowly escaping furnaces grasp
*furnace* DAMN!!... you can't be the same sonic your hella faster!

Furnace then shot forward with no warning and tackled sonic down
*sonic* SHIT!! ME AND MY BIG MOUTH
Furnaces chest then opened preparing to roast sonic right then and there but sonic kicked him off and managed to spindash him a few times dropkicked him and ran off once again and furnace got up and once again pursued sonic
*furnace* IVE KILLED YOU ONCE AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN!!!
*sonic* listen bud im not from here so I don't know what the hell is happening so im outa here!

Furnace then sprouted claws from his fingers and once again started to close in
