Chat Out of the Bag?

Chapter 14

Lucia was so happy that her papa was eating dinner with her and Adrien. He mentioned that he was going away but she can't remember where he said.

"Can we go with you, papa?" Lucia asked.

"No, this is for business," replied Gabriel.

"Would you get me a charm for my bracelet?"

Gabriel nodded and asked Adrien if he had a souvenir request. Adrien was never asked this so he wasn't sure what to say. He eventually just said he would be happy with whatever he was given.

Lucia was coloring in her brother's room while he was talking to a friend. The guy was a little weird and claimed to be Adrien's biggest fan. That was a silly claim since she loved her brother more than anyone so she had that title.

"Why did he suggest a party? They aren't fun at all. Just a bunch of boring grown-ups talking about how important they are," said Lucia.

"He meant the kind you see in movies that are supposed to be fun," replied Adrien.

"Oh, that sounds fun as long as ice cream is involved," said Lucia as she went back to her coloring.

Meanwhile in the evil lair

"Natalie, make sure to order a charm from Japan and something for Adrien. Everyone needs to believe that I am heading to the Tokyo fashion show," said Gabriel.

Natalie had driven the car to the airport with a hologram of Gabriel. No one in Paris aside from herself knew that the designer never left his house.

"Yes sir," replied Natalie. She pulled over and ordered a special edition anime DVD set for Adrien and a fancy charm for Lucia. She decided to add a sweet Lolita ensemble for Lucia since the charm wasn't very much compared to the DVD set. She set it for express shipping and planned to wrap it so it looked like Gabriel had put a lot of thought into it.

Back to Adrien's room

The Gorilla had escorted almost all the boys from Adrien's class into his room. The boys claimed it was for a class project but Lucia could tell they were lying. Papa would be so mad if he was here.

The boys cheered and hugged Adrien after Gorilla left. Lucia jumped into the hug because she didn't want to be left out.

Nino declared it to be a boy's party and put music on. Lucia pouted and pulled on his sleeve. He looked down to see Lucia pointing to herself.

"My mistake this is a boy and the cutest dudette party. Nathaniel and Marc are on their way if you want to paint their nails," said Nino.

Lucia nodded and went to get her manicure set.

"Remember no telling your father or Natalie about this party," Nino called after her.

Lucia grabbed her manicure set and her kitty ear-shaped noise canceling handphones since the music was way too loud. She could hear it in her room and the walls of the house were thick.

Soon enough a bunch of guys came to the party that Lucia didn't know. She didn't really care because she got ice cream from the ice cream man. Nathaniel, Marc, and Luka all let her redo their nails.

She looked around at everyone at the party wondering who else she could do the nails of. She wouldn't try the mayor because he already looked like he was in the process of a makeover. She considered getting Jagged Stone's attention when she noticed her brother talking to an older Chinese man.

Plagg had told her that the guardian of the miraculous was an older Chinese man so that had to be him. The old man opened his cooler and showed Adrien something in it.
