"...Natalie, can I sleep with you tonight?" asked Lucia sleepily. She had a long day spending time with Adrien, Chloe, and the rest of her family getting pampered at the spa. After the events of yesterday, they all needed a relaxing day.
"If that's what you wish," replied Natalie.
Lucia nodded and got under the covers.
She noticed something familiar on Natalie's bedside table.
"Maman used to wear that. Did she give it to you when she went to her eternal rest?"
Lucia pointed to the pretty brooch on the bedside table.
Natalie didn't realize she left the brooch there, but she answered without missing a beat.
"Yes, she gave it to me for safe keeping,"
Lucia snuggled closer to Natalie and asked if she could wear her maman's brooch when she went to her Mandarian lessons at some point in the future.
Natalie said she would think about it, which was as good as a yes to Lucia. The brooch was cracked, and Lucia thought it would be a nice gift to Natalie to get it fixed.
~Random park in the city~
A car window slowly goes down, and Gabriel Agreste speaks to Lila.
"I made you a model to watch and protect my children from bad influences, and yet Adrien and Lucia are still associating with the wrong type of people," said Mr. Agreste. His unspoken threat hung in the air.
"I already have a plan to distance Marinette from them. Just give it some time," replied Lila.
Mr. Agreste nodded, and the car window slowly went back up.
Adrien held Lucia's hand as they got out of the car. Lucia's school was closed due to a broken water pipe that flooded the first floor, so she was accompanying him to school. Chloe had convinced the principal that it would look good for the school to help out the young children. Her school would be close for at least a week to fix the damages.
Adrien had a mock test on the first day of her being at his school. His teacher let Lucia color at her desk since she finished the work her school had sent over. When the class was dismissed for PE, she followed Adrien out of the classroom but went back because she had forgotten her crayons at the teacher's desk.
She grabbed her crayons, but one fell under the desk. Lucia went under the desk to grab the crayon when she heard the door of the classroom open. She stayed quiet and heard Lila criticize the teacher for leaving the answer sheet on her desk. She witnessed Lila take the answer sheet and put it in Marinette's backpack.
"Let's see that little miss goodie two shoes explain this," mocked Lila as she zipped up Marinette's bag.
Lucia was tempted to throw her crayons at Lila. How dare she try to get Marinette in trouble! She waited until Lila left the room and ran over to Marinette's bag to take out the answer sheet. Lucia then went over to Lila's bag, folded up the answer sheet, and stuffed it inside. She was going to talk to Plagg to contact Tikki. Lila was like a villain in the shows she likes to watch, and they always have more than one evil plot.
Satisfied that Marinette's bag was safe, Lucia walked out of the room and met back up with Adrien.
"What took you so long?" asked Adrien as he did warm-up stretches.
"My crayons fell, and I had to get them all," replied Lucia quietly, "I need to go to the bathroom. Can Plagg come with me?"
Adrien nodded and indicated that Plagg was in his gym bag. Lucia walked over to it and acted like she was searching for something. She then went off to the bathroom so she could speak in private. Lucia checked the stalls before she went to the back one to talk to Plagg.
