chapter 5: left behind

Vanoss and his friends are seen making their way to the mountain up ahead. They are going to investigate the smoke that was on the side of it to see what's going on and what is there. They did came across a couple of creatures they remember such as the daeodons and the sarcosuchus. Mainly those they've encounter at the island and all. But they still have a couple of creatures to discover here in the desert ark. Once they arrive at the mountain they head up the path and make their way up. They all wonder what's up there, could it be something new to them or something from those that came here before them.

Delirious: what do you think it is Evan?

Vanoss: not sure

Wildcat: could be those people that have been here before

Nakedzombo: what people?

Wildcat: back on the island we've found a treehouse and it was made by two people who are I assume are a couple

Nakedzombo: huh

Basically: maybe it's someone else this time that left some loot for us to collect

Nogla: maybe

Terroriser: well whatever it is I hope it's something worth it

Vanoss: let's go see

Vanoss and his friends continue on up the mountain, until they are met with something unusual. A giant gate that looks to be blocking them when they noticed it's not. The gate looks to be burned as a single gate door is missing. The guys are curious as to what happened, but only one way to find out. As they get through the burned gates they see a single house destroyed as burned as well. But what got them the most is a burned corpse on the ground while it's holding a spear. This spooks the guys and made them even more curious about what going on here.

Delirious: what happened to him?

Basically: is this from the super heat wave weather?

Vanoss: it couldn't be

Wildcat: no way the heat weather is this bad

Nakedzombo: *gulp*

Nogla: if that's the case than we should move into a cave or something

Vanoss: let's just continue on and see what else

Vanoss and his friends continue on and unravel the mysterious of what's happening. After seeing that corpse they all feel scared from it, could it be from the super heat wave. If that's the case then they are in serious trouble if it ever happens. As vanoss and his friends came to a certain part of the area they are met with a destroyed village. A village? On the side of the mountain they all thought as they take a look at it. Some houses are made of wood and others are either stone or metal. As they enter the village they see that everything is destroyed and burned to ashes. Corpse after corpse of the people that once lived here are now lay to rest in the sand of their home. Vanoss and his could not believe what they are seeing, it's like they've been raided by bad people. But vanoss and the others have never encountered anyone else or any tribes at all. They take a good look at the area and see what else is there, tho it would be better it they all examine the place.

Vanoss: alright guys let's split up and see what's around here

Delirious: alright

Vanoss and his friends dismount their tames so that's they can see what's left of it. Basically goes to a create and opens it, only to be met with a crumble of ash and scrap wood. Nothing useful and nothing good for him. Delirious and nogla looks at the corpse of the people and see that they have guns, assault rifles to be exact. Weapons like those would give them an advantage from raider's. But if this is from the super heat wave than they need to act now, once they return to their base they to look for a new location. Once that might help them survive against the super heat wave. Vanoss and terroriser looks around and found a building with a sign. Tho they can't tell what it says, but from the word on the bottom that says forge it's a house where they make stuff. They both enter the place and see a destroyed fabricator and a burned smithing table. There's also a refined forge that looks to be damaged a little and also a box next to it. They open the box and found ten metal ingots all undamaged. So they take them and store it in their implants inventory, and then continue looking.
