~☆S☆~
My eyes fluttered open as gunshots began to unfold. I shot out of bed as I realized what was happening.
I scanned the room in a panic, H was gone.
I rushed to the bedside table, and my hands threw the drawer open in search of something I could protect myself with. But nothing was there. I slammed the drawer shut and ran to the wardrobe that sat in the far corner of the room. The door creaked open as I moved H's clothes out of my way. A shot gun rested against the back corner. I picked it up and cocked the gun. It was much heavier than I expected, but it would have to do.
A bullet shot through the door to H's room and hit the wall above my head. I moved to the left, light on my feet.
"SKYLER!" H screamed out for me as several shots echoed through the apartment.
"H!" I screamed back, desperate.
"We got company!" H's voice was hoarse and deep.
Without a second thought, I kicked H's door open and started shooting. The shot gun hit hard against my shoulder as I continued to cock it then shoot. Knowing H, I knew the thing was loaded.
I hit two men in the chest, then a third in his shoulder.
H had flipped the couch over in an attempt to take cover. His side was bleeding, which meant his stiches had been ripped open. He had a second wound on his arm.
Niall and Louis were next to him as Louis held a rag to H's arm to try and stop it from bleeding. Niall was reloading his hand gun.
I fired the shot gun one more time as the last man ran out of the apartment. I was about to chase after him when a trail of blood leading into the kitchen stopped me. I cocked the gun again and slowly rounded the corner. Liam was on the ground, leaning against the cabinets, clutching his side.
"Liam." I gasped, putting the shot gun down. I rushed to his side to inspect his wound further.
"It's just a graze, lucky bastard." I sighed in relief.
"Still hurts like a bitch." He groaned.
"I think we're clear." Niall called out to us. I helped Liam off of the floor. He leaned his weight on me as I helped him to the living room. I still held the shot gun in my free hand.
"Flip the couch over." I ordered. Niall and Louis helped H off of the floor and flipped the couch back to normal. The stuffing was popping out from being caught in the crossfire.
"We have to move. They'll be back with more men." H groaned. He looked pale, even sickly.
"But you both are bleeding heavily." I sighed in frustration. I knew he was right, and it irritated me.
"Niall, Louis. You get everything packed up while I patch these two up." I snapped, running to the bedroom to grab any medical supplies I could find. The living room was a mess. The monitors were blown to bits, and the first aid kit I had was all over the place.
Once I returned, H was on the phone. He was barking at the other end, practically yelling orders at them.
I pulled Liams shirt up to see the deep gash. He'd need stitches, like H.
This wasn't something a bandaid could fix.
"We're ready. We're gonna have to use the fire escape, we got more company coming up our way." Niall growled as he moved from the front window. Louis started pushing all the furniture in the living room in front of the door. Niall dashed over to the opposite window in the living room and opened it. I helped Liam off of the couch as Niall came over and got him. H had a look on his face as he looked up at me.
