7: A Deal With Fame

Camila's P.O.V: When we all got back to the house, I immediately went to my room and laid on my bed looking up at the ceiling. I didn't wanna talk to anybody. Things were just messed up. Austin really did bring my mood down.

🌊Flashback to the beach earlier🌊
"So what you wanna talk about?" I asked looking at him.
"Well first off I wanna ask how you doing? It's been a minute since we last seen each other." He said with a small grin.
"I'm good." I said looking at the ground. Things were awkward around him.
"Alright I'm gonna cut to the chase. Look I'm sorry about that interview. I shouldn't have said that."
"I know you are. You've said it a million times." I said.
"I know but I feel like each time I say it, you don't believe me. But we need to talk about the aftermath of the interview." He said in a serious voice.
"What you mean?"
"Ever since that interview, my fans are starting to decrease and they're also starting to attack the Harmonizers. Some of them think I'm a bad guy and others think that I didn't do anything wrong which is getting some of the Harmonizers mad. So my manager came up with an idea." He said giving a small smile. Austin's manager doesn't have that much good ideas.
"I already don't like the sound of that." I said nervous of what he was gonna say. He chuckled.
"He thinks we should go back out so we can fix the feud between the Harmonizers and the Mahomies and to get some of my fans back."
"No"
"Mila I know it's bad idea but this could really help the both of us. Plus it could help us build our friendship back up." He said looking straight into my eyes.

I thought about it for a minute. Our Harmonizers have been bashing Austin a lot lately.

"So we just fake date?" I ask.
"Yea we just have it to make it look believable." He said with a hopeful look on his face.
"Alright fine. I'll do it."
"Thank you so much Mila." He said excitedly.
"Yea whatever."
"Nah really thank you." Austin then kissed my cheek and told me we have a date tomorrow. I'm really not looking forward to that date.

I really didn't want to do this date thing. Mostly because I got an eye for someone else. Well more than one person but they wouldn't ever wanna be with me.

As I laid on my bed and let my eyes close and I just started to think about this whole situation.

"Hey Mills."

I opened my eyes to see Lauren standing in the door way.

"Can I come in?" She asks. I nod my head and she closes the door behind her and crawls over to the top of the bed and leans against the headboard. I just watch her. "Come cuddle." She says in her adorable little baby voice and I couldn't say no. Plus I needed to cuddle someone. I crawled into her arms and laid my head on her chest and laid draped my arm over my stomach as she wrapped her arm around my back.
"Your warm." I say getting comfortable to her body.
"Awww your so cute. Mila what's wrong. You look so upset." Lauren turns over facing me and and tilts my chin up so I'm looking straight her to green eyes. I could get lost in them everyday.
"It's nothing Lauren." I say uneasily. It's amazing how she makes me go limp just by looking at me.
"Come on tell me Mila. We tell each other everything." She says. I hated keeping this from her, but Austin said nobody could know about it, not even the girls. I don't know why but that's his manager's orders. Screw it.
"Don't tell anyone Lo. Promise?" I say sticking out my pinky.
"Promise." She wraps her pinky with mine then let's go. "Now tell me what's up."
"Me and Austin have to fake date."

When I said that I looked straight at Lauren. I know how much she hates him. Well nobody hates him as much as her except for Dinah. Lauren's mouth turned into her a frown and she had a look of anger on her face.

"Why?" She said slightly steaming.
"His manager said that he's losing his fans and the Mahomies have been starting a feud with the Harmonizers. It's getting really bad." I say.
"So how is going out with him gonna help the situation?"
"Lauren were not going out. We're fake dating and he said that if the Mahomies and the Harmonizers see that we're back together the feud will end and Austin can get his fans back." I say uneasily. This whole thing is still new to me.
"How long do you guys have to date?" She asks. I can see her hand shaking slightly so I hold it and kiss the back of it making her give me a small smile.
"I don't know. Until this whole thing blows over I guess" I say win no feeling in my voice. I want this to be over really soon.
"So why are you upset?" Lauren asks looking at me with those beautiful green eyes filled with concern. I'm really losing myself right now.
"It's just that I don't wanna be tied down to someone I don't even like. Even if it is fake. I kinda like somebody else." I say looking down playing with my fingers.
"Who is it?" Lauren is looking straight into my eyes and I'm slowly starting to get lost in hers. I can't let her know my feelings. For her and.....for Dinah.

Yea it's true I like Lauren and Dinah. I've always felt safer with them. They looked out for me and showed me how much they cared. But I know I can't have both. Plus by going out with one of them could mess up our friendship and the bonding in our group. So I can't cost it.

So all I say is "A friend." Well two friends I shoulda said.
