Chapter 03:

"From this day on, I, Solem Guenette Drinidad is officially courting you and darling" she smirked. "You ain't gonna do anything about it"

I heard everyone gasped.

What did she say? She'll court me? What does this woman want with me?

Napailing nalang ako ng maalala ang ginawa nung babae kanina. What's her name again? Oh Solem, yeah right!

"Hey son!" I saw mom entered my room.

"You need anything mom?" I asked her while fixing my glasses.

"I was wondering if you want to join us, Dilan and I would go out to eat dinner" I just shooked my head and continue reading my textbook.

"Oh okay, have a nice evening son" I just nodded at her and she left.

I stared at the ceiling and suddenly remembered that girl again, she looks familiar but I can't remember where did I saw her.

Why am I thinking about her? I fixed my glasses and start reading again. I need to study not wasting my time thinking about her.

             I gulped as I was seating infront of Mira who's definitely glaring at me right now.

"Aray" agad akong napahawak sa ulo ko pagkatapos akong batukan ni Mira.

"Ano na namang scandal ginawa mo?" napakamot nalang ako ng ulo.

"Anong scandal? Nag hubad bako?" inirapan ako nito na ikinatawa ko.

"Edi hindi scandal, kabaliwan nalang"

Siguro nga kabaliwan iyon, like Solem's gonna court a guy. It should be the other way round. I don't know why the hell I did that, it's just when it comes to him I can't think straight. Mostly when his staring at me coldy, it's like he's judging my whole being.

"Do you think I'm going crazy?" she looked at me and slowly nodded.

Napasabunot nalang ako sa buhok ko. I swear once all of this finished I'm going back to Paris.

"What if you just confess everything to your grandfather" yumuko ito "and did the same thing back then when you decided to left" mahina nitong dugtong.

As she said that, everything that happened 3 years ago flashed back my mind also the memory when I lost h-.

"No" I coldly stared at her. "I promised to that person I won't do that again" not again. I won't fail again this time.

"But" I glared at her and she just looked down.

"I'll find a way to fix this and if the only way to do that is to make him fall for me. I would gladly take the risk" I don't care what the consequences might be, but I won't do that thing I did years ago to earn my freedom.

"I'm leaving" I took my back and about to left her when she asked something that made me freeze.

"What if you fall inlove with him? What if what happened 4 years ago happened again? Will you take the risk again?"

Agad ko siyang nilingon at nilapitan.

"I don't have anything to risk 'cause I will never fall inlove with him. For me, he's just the easiest way to escape the hell I might experience again" a tear fell into her eyes.

"Promise me, it won't happen again. I can't bear to see you again in that state" I nodded at her.

There's a reason why I left, there's a reason why I earned that freedom. I was ready to accept my fate back then, everything was planned but it happened. I did not just came back for my brother, I'm also back to hunt the person who took everything from me.
