ptx; a koop and kaplan hanukkah!

*Esther, Darien, Kate and Avi's younger kids as well as grandkids celebrate Hanukkah! Enjoy! Love • Bree 🕎✡️*

Today is the first day of Hanukkah!

For the first night of Hanukkah, Esther and Avi decided to have the kids film a video of their kids lighting up the candles and saying the three Hanukkah prayers you say in the first night, the seven other nights you just say two.

A lot of the older kids didn't want to make a video which Esther and Avi respected their choice. However all of the little kids wanted to film this fun and special video for everyone and for themselves! 

The kids featured are:

and finally Kate and Avi's granddaughter, Charlotte Kate Kaplan, age 6 months and Esther and Darien's grandson, Theo Flynn Thompson Koop, age 11 months!

The video starts off with all of the kids sitting together with the menorah in front of them.

"Happy Hanukkah, Pentaholics from our families to yours!" Israel, Abigail, Ezra, Gabriel Noah, Sadie, Kaiya, Ayla, Hana, Wren, Asher, Annabelle, Jasper, Jeremiah, Micah, Maya, Amos and Zev all say in unison to the camera with big smiles.

"Happy Hanukkah!" Rose and Judah both yell happily while Seraphina, Theo and Charlotte all babble loudly.

*Israel, Abigail, Ezra, Gabriel, Noah, Sadie, Kaiya, Ayla and Hana's Hanukkah outfits*

*Wren, Asher, Annabelle, Jasper, Jeremiah, Micah, Maya, Amos and Zev's Hanukkah outfits*

*Rose, Judah, Seraphina, Theo and Charlotte's Hanukkah outfits*

Israel, Abigail, Ezra, Gabriel, Noah, Sadie, Kaiya and Ayla all walk over to the menorah and stand in front of it while Hana, Wren, Asher, Annabelle, Jasper, Jeremiah, Micah, Maya, Amos, Zev, Rose, Judah, Seraphina, Theo and Charlotte all stand around them. Sadie is holding Theo while Abigail is holding Charlotte.

Israel and Gabriel begin to light the candles for the menorah.

"Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tsivanu l'hadlik ner shel Hanukkah!" Israel, Zev, Amos, Sadie, Hana, Maya, Micah, Jasper and Jeremiah all say in unison.

*Blessed are you, Our God, Ruler of the Universe, who makes us holy through Your commandments and commands us to light the Hanukkah lights*

"Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, she-asah nisim laavoteinu v'imoteinu bayamim hahaeim baz'man hazeh." Abigail, Asher, Annabelle, Gabriel, Noah, Kaiya, Ayla, Wren and Ezra all say in unison.

*Blessed are you, Our God, Ruler of the Universe, who performed miracles for our ancestors in their days at this season.*

"Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, shehecheyanu v'kiy'manu v'higiyanu laz'man hazeh." All of the kids say in unison happily.

*Blessed are you, Our God, Ruler of the Universe, for giving us life, for sustaining us, and for enabling us to reach this season.*

The video ends with the menorah and the kids smiling.
