Can you introduce yourself and your family? I'm new here!

"Hello! Thank you for following us! I'm glad you joined on our journey. For those who are new here, my name is Kate Kaplan! I was born and raised in England but my whole family has moved to the United States after I moved to be with my husband and the love of my life, Avi. We met online eleven years ago and have been together ever since!"

"Avi was in the 3x Grammy winning acapella group Pentatonix and now does solo music and social media!"

"Avi and I have fourteen children together! Six are biological and eight we have adopted through foster care! Our children range from ages fourteen through a baby!"

Which kids in your family are adopted?

"This is one of my most asked questions and I can understand why! I understand because people are very interested in big families and adoption!"

"Now before I talk about who is adopted, I want to say that we don't call them our adopted children, they are our children. When someone asks me in public how many children I have, I say I have fourteen children. I don't say oh these kids are adopted and these aren't. To Avi and I, they are ours just like how our biological children are! All of our adopted children don't feel any different than our biological kids do."

"Eight of our children are adopted! Their names are Noam, Dakota, Elyse, Tobias, Abigail, Kaiya, Ayla and Jeremiah!"

What is the order of how the kids came into the family (through birth and adoption?)

"When Avi and I started our foster care journey we already had three young kids! We had Israel, Ezra and Wren."

"We first adopted Tobias and Abigail who are full biological siblings!"

"After we adopted Tobias and Abigail, I gave birth to Avi and I's 4th biological child, Jasper."

"After Jasper was born, we adopted Dakota and found out about her half-sister Kaiya when we met Dakota, so we decided to adopt Kaiya as well!"

"After adopting Dakota and Kaiya, I gave birth to Avi and I's 5th biological child, Micah."

"After Micah, we adopted Ayla! A few months later, we were told that she has two siblings and of course we adopted them! Their names are Noam and Elyse!"

"After adopting Ayla, Noam and Elyse, Avi and I were told that Dakota and Elyse had a half brother named Jeremiah so of course we had to adopt him!"

Names and ages of the kids?

"Noam just turned fourteen, Dakota is almost thirteen, Elyse is eleven and a half, Tobias is ten, Israel is nine! Abigail is eight, Ezra is seven, Kaiya is six, Ayla is also six, Jasper is four, Jeremiah is three and Seraphina is almost seven months!"

Are all of the children you adopted siblings?

"Yes, all of the kids we adopted were adopted with their siblings! Avi and I really want to make sure that all of the kids we adopt are with their biological siblings because it is very important for development and for the healing process with losing their biological family!"

"Tobias and Abigail are full siblings, Dakota, Kaiya and Jeremiah are half siblings and Noam, Elyse and Ayla are full siblings!"

Which of your family members moved to America with you?

"I came to America alone for about a year! Avi and I got pregnant with our son Israel and we got married! While we got married, my mom Elizabeth, my dad David, little sister Teegan, little brother John and my grandmother Catherine all came to America for the ceremony and they found homes before officially moving to America!"

Will you and your husband adopt anymore children or have anymore children?

"If a child ever needs a home and can't find one, we will be there. We will always make room for one more. So many children in America are in the foster care system and need a family and we are very open and happy to welcome any child!"

"As for having children, I am pretty sure Avi and I are complete. I had five natural births and a c-section and that's a lot on my body. I want to rest my body now and be the best mom I can be to my kids!"
