Murder Drones: The Outcast and the Rebel

A New Problem

J was excited finally getting something she wanted a friend a good and honest one it was something JCJenson couldn't take away. At least She hoped so for once in her life she was in control of what was happening. Right now, she wanted to go into rest mode a-lot of excitement had already happened tonight. She hoped she could be up and active to at least give Uzi a rest of staying active all night. Oh, how she'd love to scare her at her class maybe even meet some more of these somewhat dreadful Worker Drones. J reached Uzi's room and while she wanted to get into sleep mode, she thought she could do something before resting her systems. J felt so confident and upbeat she decided now was the best time look over her systems.

J: Let's get the obvious stuff checked of first arms functional, Legs stable and functional. Visor is performing at 100% efficiency, chainsaws and saw blades functional, gun loaded and Repair Nanites at 70%.

Wait what repair nanites at 70% thank the company she hasn't received any damage it would take hours to repair a wound. This isn't right maybe she checked the wrong thing or misread it. She ran the system check again and her screen read out Repair Nanites at 70%.

J stooped in her tracks she didn't have 30% of her Repair Nanites how and where the hell was the rest of it. She was a 100% and never received any massive damage she would know well actually maybe she wouldn't. She remembered being briefed on what would happen on the event of receiving damage. If a limb is damaged it will take second to repair, if a screen is damaged take cover and allow it to repair. What was she forgetting it was something about the Repair Nanites leaving their host.

J: Maybe I should find Uzi she might have a good idea of how to deal with this.

J left the room expecting it to be empty hallways like her first night around the colony to her surprise it wasn't. In fact a lot of Worker Drones were out tonight this kind of distracted J as she thought all of these boring toasters would be busy trying to sleep or play cards or well she didn't know nor care about what else they did. J walked doing her best to avoid running into anybody like she did Lizzy and Doll. Lizzy was fine but Doll she just gave J a familiar yet unnerving feeling. She remembered everything about her past and the "demotion" she received before reaching Copper-9 but Doll she felt like something unnatural.  She decided to figure out why everyone was out at this time and to her luck or bad luck she found Lizzy.

J: Hey Lizzy I hope you don't mind me asking  ut why is everybody up.

Lizzy looked over at J if she could she would give a sassy remark but tiredness was taking over the Worker Drones systems and she could only get a headache from trying to think of one.

Lizzy: Oh Jade your little girlfriend didn't tell you about the meeting?

J: No, no she did not.

J really needed to either get more informed of this colony or yell at Uzi to pay attention to stuff like this because she seemed to be good at a making weapons but a failing social life. Not like J could talk though she wasn't the best person for social settings.

J: Well mind telling me? I'm sure you could fill me in.

Lizzy: Well Jade your girlfriend the weird- I mean Uzi has brought some concern as you two were able to get in without the door opening. Actually could you just tell me how you got in so we can not have a big meeting about it.

J: I'd rather not Liz but good luck cat ears.

Lizzy was about to protest but just gave up she didn't have any reason to continue Doll was supposed to be here and back her up but she didn't see her since this morning. J continued to walk down the hallways of the colony trying to find were Uzi had gone thankfully only Khan, Lizzy, Thad and Doll had any idea of who Jade was. These Drones amazed J at how they were able to survive for so long we're they smart or just so stupid that the Disassembly Drones just couldn't predict how to get them. It didn't matter to J as long as she was away from V she was fine and happy that she had a real friend.
