Tessa had finished making repairs to I or as she liked to call him Iota. The girl was trying her best to occupy herself as she was waiting for said Disassembly Drone to reactivate. Tessa was used to being called in for repairs, but I was one she knew would come up eventually, she's had to repair all of the Higher Ups at least once and I was one she expected to happen a lot sooner. He was the most try hard of them and she expected him to run into trouble eventually though there were some issues with I... issues that Tessa was not willing to outwardly disclose.

Tessa: How long does it take for a gen 3 to reboot? I finished the repairs about an hour ago.

Tessa was happy when she finally saw that J's screen light up a message reading off that the reboot was complete and finally a golden yellow X displaying on his visor. The coloration of the symbol wasn't supposed to change, Tessa assumed it was a technical glitch or something that I did.

Tessa: Well Iota how did the reboot feel? I'm sure it was relaxing to rest for a moment.

I gave up on being annoyed by his nick name and instead nodded but he still looked around it felt as if he could hear her words echoing in his mind. "I'm closer than you think." I couldn't get it out of his head a part of him hoping- No wanting Cyn to be alive but the way she said "he was so close to being him"... was he I? He looked the part; he sounded the part and he felt emotions for Cyn but what if he was a fake. His spacing out had gotten Tessa's attention in which she broke his train of thought by snapping her fingers causing him to look at her.

Tessa: We are still on the clock Iota.

I shook his head and tried to keep himself focused on his mission he didn't need to be thinking of rebellious thoughts and je didn't need Mr. Elliott yelling at him again.

Tessa started to move into a room that once was once the center of a Worker Drone Assembly facility. She knew that the Disassembly Drones would hate it but there wasn't really a lot of choices. That and Tessa could stave off her boredom by messing with the shells that had survived the core collapse.

I: Lady Tessa while I understand why we came here why-

I was cut off as he heard a hologram turn on in the center of the room he saw the one person he'd hoped not to see at that moment.

Serial Designation A who was typically a very sweet drone and had showed favoritism towards I wore an expression that shot fear into I.

Tessa: He is all yours Alchys.

Tessa moved out of the way making it impossible for I to hide behind her.

A: I.

I: A I didn't know that you were trying to reach out to me I-

A: Don't you dare give me any excuses I! You had one mission to accomplish and not only have you failed to secure C's remains which was your mission! You for some reason needed repairs so let me tell you this in a way you can understand. I don't tolerate failure to this degree.

I: I- C's remains but I don't... I Understand Ma'am.

A: So, I want answers now the last thing you did was send out the warning of the A.B.S activating.

I: Yes the A.B.S project has proven to be successful though sadly the Colony it was feeding on was a bit more formidable than I anticipated.

A: More formidable? I how can a bunch of Worker Drones destroy something that was supposed to assimilate everything in sight?!

I needed to come up with something while he could tell A of J's betrayal, but his memory banks had sporadic records before the Prom but... no that didn't matter now he needed to come up with an excuse.
