Night had finally arrived on Copper-9 and while the night seemed to be calm it was quite the opposite for V and N. While one might think that everything had gone back to normal, it didn't as neither of them found any Worker Drones outside which didn't help as their usual hunting grounds had nothing except a few drops of oil. Both were heading back to the Spire with N disappointed and concerned about V's wellbeing while V was far more worried about the fact that their hunt was pretty much for nothing. Both landed with N trying his best to give a reassuring look to V but was ignored as she made her way to the pile of corpses that served as their oil reserves.
N: Um V is everything okay? Because you haven't talked much since-
V: Don't N! Just don't bring it up I have enough things to deal with, we couldn't find anything which means I have to push off fixing my tail.
N: Oh yeah...well I was going to bring up how you seem kind of different since J-
V: Hahahahahahahhahaha since J kicked my ass! Stabbed me in the eye with a pen! Oh, what else since she-
N: V?
V stopped her outburst if there was anything she hated it was how nice it felt to be around N and she hated it, it was a weakness. Life was simple it was either you were good enough to kill anyone in your way or you were too weak and deserved to die. At least that's what the company put in her head yet N broke that a lot more than she'd ever like to admit, she didn't understand why but she stopped to listen.
N: Look I get that things have changed I mean maybe just maybe we could join J and Uzi because they seem to be pretty well off.
V: You want us to become traitors?! That's one of the dumbest things we could do! You understand what the Company does to traitors??
N: I was just thinking that maybe we could get out of this before things get worse.
V: Things can't get any worse than they are right now N.
V went back to the pile of corpses digging through to try and find the oil that was stored if anything she was thankful for J recommending storing oil when they arrived on Copper-9 it was just never something V found herself doing a lot. Her progress was cut off as she heard something land, she let out a sigh expecting J and Uzi to be at the entrance. V's attitude changed quickly when she saw who had actually arrived.
The two drones that had actually arrived. Her eyes showed concern as the Disassembly Drone walked into the spire a look of boredom and disappointment though V was more concerned with the Disassembly Drone behind her. The X present on the second drones face along with her smile being carved in was a clear sign that it was X. Though now that V looked at her X seemed a lot worse for wear having a cracked screen and an arm that didn't seem to match.
V: K I didn't realize that you'd be here, as you can see, I'm a bit busy with-
K: Serial Designation V are you aware that one of your squad members has gone rouge?
V: Oh, you mean J well look she's gone and I'm not sure where she's hiding so that's all we know.
K only looked at V with an annoyed glare.
K: V I know that you are less productive in dealing with things but JCJenson has been very upset at the lack of communication from you. Now I understand how hunting Worker Drones can be fun, but the higher ups want answers.
K had started walking closer to V with X looking around at the various corpses that lay in the spire trying to search for something inside the spire.
K: So, I'll be nice and ask you one time are you in league with my sister or not.
