Out of everyone, Scott could have sent Stiles on search duty with it being Liam. He has nothing against the True Beta, but they made an odd duo with Stiles' ADHD and Liam's IED. Stiles wanted to be paired with Scott; honestly, they have yet to be able to hand out as much lately. He was lucky that he went under the radar of the pack, no one asked him why he had dropped out of the Academy, and he didn't want to talk about it. Derek made his choices, and now he would have to deal with them. This had nothing to do with Stiles' grudge against Derek always being a tease, one-night stands ending with not contacting him for weeks until he needed something.

Liam had a lot on his mind. He wished that Hayden would be a normal girlfriend. She was so stubborn and independent... but that's also why he loved her. He kept thinking of the night she told him she was leaving the pack and didn't want him to come with her.

"Hey, Sad droopy boy, pay attention," Stiles batted him with his flashlight. Liam flinched and looked at him, confused. "You have better eyes than me, especially at night. We are trying to find a Fairies Nest, and you're more likely to see one,"

"Hey, I am not gay despite popular opinion," Liam took Stiles' order as an insult, and Stiles raised an eyebrow at him, confused.

"No, dumbass, Fairies like Wolves. They will show you a path to them before they show a human," Stiles rolled his eyes.

"Oh... okay," Liam muttered and began to pay attention. "Do fairies have footsteps?" Liam asked

"I don't know...." Stiles thought about all the mythology he had read. Admittedly, he searched mostly for wolf lore... especially blue-eyed wolves with black hair... he couldn't believe how much trouble Derek had gotten into in South America.

"Relax, guys, it's just me," Theo came out of the shadows.

"Oh yeah, Liam, let's kick our feet back. It's the guy that tried to kill Scott and make us his pack," Stiles glared at him.

"Stiles, that was like two years ago," Theo scoffed.

"Theo, what are you doing out here?" Liam asked, like he was happy to see Theo. Stiles scoffed. He hadn't been around much to see Theo step up and redeem himself to Scott. Even though Theo was good with Scott, he was still not looking to be in a pack. Theo wouldn't say it, but he had been shacking up in tents and abandoned buildings throughout the preserve for the past four months.

"Searching for the Fairies Nest," Theo told them.

"Oh cool, we are doing that too," Liam said, and Stiles nudged him to shut up.

"What are you guys going to wish for?" Theo smiled, amused with how annoyed he made Stiles. If they asked him what his wish would be, he would say 'a million dollars, but it was going to be for a fresh start. He hated how he tried to tear apart Scott's Pack. He wanted to be Scott's beta with just a glimpse into it. The only way he thought he could be trusted was for the Fairy to erase everyone's memory of how evil he was.
