Boyd was planning on playing video games all day. He was home alone, which was rare. He had the house to himself all weekend. He hoped that Derek or Scott wouldn't need him so he could relax before College started. Just as he was getting comfortable, he sat down as he had gathered all the things and snacks he needed not to get up later. Boyd groaned as he heard there was a knock on the door. He got up to answer it and blinked a few times, confused.
"Hi..."
"Stiles, what the hell are you doing at my house,"
"I um... was wondering if you wanted to hang out," Stiles asked, his demeanor could only be described as deflated.
"Why the hell would I want to do that?" Boyd asked. He was annoyed because Scott and his friends only came to him if they needed him.
"I just thought you wouldn't want to be alone..."
"Stiles, I know you want something, so just spit it out so I can say no and get back to my business,"
"Do you know what today is?" Stiles asked, and Boyd rolled his eyes, shutting the door in Stiles' face. Boyd went back to his game, curiosity getting the better of him.
"Shit..." Boyd sighed as he realized today was the 8th, not the 7th. He went back outside to stop Stiles from driving away. "Stiles, why do you know the death date of my sister..."
"Because my mom died the same day, I remember you and your family being in the room next to mine," Stiles explained, and Boyd felt like a jerk. He came out to help him through this day that he had been dreading so much, only to mix up the days. "I don't want to be alone on this day either. I just thought it might be hard for you like it's hard for me..."
"Don't you mourn with your father?"
"No, he sneaks drinks and gets a little cranky if he isn't working... I will go see a movie or-"
"No, I don't want to be alone either... thank you for thinking about me," Boyd said, "Come in. I am playing Spider-Man."

Stiles and Boyd started this weird side friendship outside of the pack. It's not like they hid their friendship but weren't outward with it. Scott and Derek had a habit of making their pack choose sides.
"Hey Vernon, Scott is at his house," Noah said as he walked out to his squad car when he saw Boyd rolling up on his bike. Stiles had gotten hurt over the weekend, and Noah had been caring for him, but he had to return to work today.
"I am here to see Stiles," Boyd said, and Noah was a little confused. He didn't see them as friends but didn't care about it.
