The duo hid in the vents for a few minutes, so quiet and still you would think they were dead. Once the footsteps padded away, Black began to crawl through the vents.

The chain was very uncomfortable, as it was tied to Black's right leg and Blue's left leg. So the chain dragged across in Blues path. They stumbled over it a couple times, but after a bit they got used to it.

They popped up in Medbay, where the doors were forced shut. Black let out a long sigh.

"How are we gonna get out of here?" Blue cried in panic. Black frowned at the door, before quickly covering up his impostor mouth.

There was shouting and pounding at the door. They had checked admin and seen the crewmates in Medbay.

"Go back into the vent," Black commanded. "And don't peek out. You hear me?"

"Yes," Blue said, obliging and climbing back into the vent. Black stepped back to adjust the chain, and readied himself, hoping Blue had listened and wasn't watching.

Tentacles burst through the ground. He looked back, and Blue was looking on in terror.

What did I tell them? Black thought, annoyed. He covered up Blue's view in tentacles, and Blue shrieked in terror.

"You're going to be fine," Black reassured them.

Silence came from the vent.

"Blue?"

Black felt a tugging on the chain.

"BLUE?"

Black looked from the door to the vent, worried. If Blue died, it would be obvious that Black was the impostor. But Black didn't want to be caught.

Black opened up a gap in the tentacles, quickly sliding through the gap and closing it off.

Blue was fine. Shaken, but fine. Black wrapped his hand around Blue. It felt weird, being reassuring. But all he wanted Blue to know is that they'd be fine.

Suddenly, a big smash came from above. Blue and Black looked up. Black released his grip, ready for battle.

Black felt his tentacles being pushed on and stabbed with blunt objects. He quickly flung the crewmates off, and he heard them yelp.

"Let's go!" Black cried, pulling Blue through the vents.

They crawled through as fast as they could. Black slowed down more and more as the tentacles got weaker and weaker, but he was determined to get out. Black looked back at Blue, who had both a concerned and determined look on their face. They stayed silent, though, and that was what concerned Black.

By Polus, stop feeling bad for a crewmate! Black thought, wincing as one of his tentacles was stabbed. He felt his tentacles, one by one, be taken down. Black started to stagger through the vents slowly. His vision slurred. All he was focused on was keeping alive, keeping them safe from being ejected, it was all going to be okay...
