Blue remained stiller than ever. Black looked around. There was nothing he could see that could make Blue so fearful.

Blue managed to force out a sentence. "A- are you going to kill me?"

"What do you mean?" Black asked, genuinely confused.

"You're an impostor."

Black yelped, realizing he was showing his mouth. He needed to hurry and gain Blues trust back, and fast. He sucked in a breath of air and started talking.

"Why would I kill you? Even if I wanted to, the smart thing to do is keep you alive."

Blue cocked his head in confusion. "Why?"

"Well, for one thing, you helped me."

Blue stayed silent. Fear still hung in the air.

"And for another, I've grown too attached to kill you."

"Aww. You like me. How sweet." Blue turned back to the controls. Black was going to state another reason, but Blue was already focused on the controls. He looked slightly uncomfortable, though; as if he didn't like being in the presence of an impostor. It made sense to Black; the crewmates had been taught to avoid impostors. And Black knew Blue couldn't trust him anymore.

"If it makes you feel better," Black called. "I can get rid of my mouth."

"What about your weapons?" Blue asked. "That'll make me feel better."

Black hesitated. "No, I'm not getting rid of my weapons. I need to protect myself."

"You have tentacles."

"Those can be hard to control when I'm in a state like this."

I'm so weak right now, Black thought. How am I supposed to protect myself?

Blue shrugged. "Keep the mouth. It'll be something I have to get used to anyways."

Blacks face lit up. "Thank you!"

Black was happy he could be trusted at least a little bit. He had lied to him, after all. Any sort of trust in this situation was appreciated.

Suddenly, the ship shook violently. Black quickly shot his tentacles out of the ground to keep stable. The tentacles weaved and tied around Blacks wrists, until he was tightly secured. Blue held on to his chair, closing his eyes until the rumbling stopped.

"What was that?" he asked, looking back towards Black and wincing as he saw the tentacles. Black shrugged and clenched the tentacles tighter as the ship rumbled again. Blue fell off of his chair and sprawled onto the floor.

Blacks stomach lurched as the ship tipped downwards and flew down at full speed. He struggled up to the front of the ship, making sure to keep his grip on the tentacles. He reached the front and looked out the massive window. His stomach lurched, but this time in nervousness and shock.

Right before Black blacked out from the crash, he realized where he was: Polus.
