—After what felt like a lifetime, Defense Against the Dark Arts was over, but before Harry, Draco and I got a foot out the door we heard our names called again.
"Miss. Knight, Mr. Malfoy, and Mr. Potter, please stay after for a moment longer." With Umbridge's statement that made her sound sickeningly sweet, the three of us stopped in our tracks and turned directly around to face our professor.
"Mr. Potter, I expect you in my office at four sharp. Miss. Knight and Mr. Malfoy, I expect you in my office at five sharp. Dismissed." She simply was informing us but I still couldn't help but let a smile arise to my face at the stupid actions that unfolded only moments prior.
I attended History of Magic for my second block with Professor Binns. The class was overall relatively boring seeing as the professor barely made it through the class overview and going over the work for the rest of class without passing out. After History of Magic, I went and had lunch with some of my friends.
"Aurora, I must ask, what were you and Draco doing exactly in the back of the classroom?" Hermione asked me curiously with a knowing look on her face.
"He started pestering me because of the conversation that went down between Harry and Umbridge. That's really it, other than the fact that I basically told him off." I replied still trying to keep most of the information vague seeing as it ties in with what happened the night before.
"Well whatever you did was incredible, you should have seen Malfoy's face!" Ron chimed in with a smile on his face.
I nodded at Ron with a smile on my face. I was still attempting to absorb everything that had happened between Platform Nine and Three-Fourths and today in class. Still I am reluctant to say anything to anyone at least until I know exactly what is going on with Draco. Or maybe, I just want to keep this one part of my life hidden from the sight of others.
After lunch, I had my last class of the day which was Arithmancy with Professor Vector. The class was most interesting seeing that I certainly was one hundred percent lost, even as a Ravenclaw, I wasn't entirely sure how this class was supposed to work. I could see that in the future, I was most likely going to need extra help from the professor. My mind just simply cannot wrap itself around how numbers seems to have magical properties as well as predict the future.
After all my classes were finished for the day, I had an hour until my detention with the lovely Professor Umbridge. I decided I would go to the library and see if Madam Pince had any new books or even anything on Arithmancy for that matter.
As I entered the library, I immediately began to walk through the rows of books until I found something about Arithmancy that may be able to help me grasp an understanding of the subject. I grabbed several books about the subject, some rather simple and others more complex, and sat in the back of the library where I could let the quietness take over me. But before my eyes even landed on the words of the pages, I noticed a certain blonde lurking in the shadows of the shelves not too far from where I was sitting comfortably.
"Miss me already, Malfoy." I questioned him. I had started reading one of the books I selected when I noticed something, more like someone, had blocked out the light from behind me.
"Never, Knight." He spoke loud and clear, which was disrespectful seeing we were in the library.
I pushed my chair back grabbing all of the books and I had picked and swiftly walked to the rows where they rested. I'm sure I'll return for these books at a later date, but for now they were too much for me to carry. I placed every book back in their designated spot, and as I was placing the very last book in its spot I felt an alarming presence towering over me from behind.
