Chapter Eleven
Broom Closet

When I awoke, I knew that my number one priority needed to be finding and talking to Draco. I didn't care if it happened today, or next week, but it needed to happen before we left for Christmas break. I needed him to be truthful about this letter, but getting him to that point may be difficult.

Throughout the entire day, I hadn't laid a single eye on the boy I was looking for. Not on the way to Transfigurations, not on the way back. I didn't see him on the way to Care of Magical Creatures or on the way to lunch.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was avoiding me again for some unknown reason. We seemed to be doing that to each other a lot lately. Maybe avoidance is what we both needed.

As the day was growing to a close, with not much interesting happening, it meant it was time for another Dumbledore's Army meeting. As I entered the Room of Requirement, I quickly shook off my robe and set it on the floor seeing that the lesson was beginning soon.

Harry had us continue to practice Expelliarmus and Stupefy, but eventually, he got around to introducing some new things to us as well. Harry introduced Diminuito, which causes objects to shrink, and Reducto, which reduces objects to dust. The two new spells were rather fascinating and I was glad to get a break from the spells we seemed to continuously be practicing.

"Working hard is important. But there's something that matters even more. Believing in yourself. Think of it this way, every great wizard in history has started out...as nothing more than what we are now- students. If they can do it, why not us?" Harry spoke to the room ensuring all could hear him.

Harry was encouraging us from not giving up knowing that the spells can be rather difficult. Shortly after, he wrapped up our lesson for today and sent us on our way knowing that many of us were full of exhaustion.

The following morning, I had woken up with slight ache in my shoulder from constantly casting various spells over and over last night. I forced myself to push through the day knowing that the weekend was only a few days away.

On my way into the Great Hall, Mr. Filch could be seen hanging up another rule once again outside the Great Hall. Moments later, every student could hear Umbridge's obnoxious voice booming throughout the school which seemed to be a frequent occurrence recently.

"Those wishing to join the Inquisitorial Squad for extra credit may sign up at the High Inquisitor's office." Her voice sounded for all those to hear.

I could see Draco and his two goons staring up at Filch as he hung the sign with smirks on their faces. This was most definitely not the time or place for confrontation.

Later that day after I had been to Muggle Studies and Charms, everyone's classes seemed to be finishing for the evening. So like I had been doing the last four nights, I made my way up to the seventh floor to the Room of Requirement for another Dumbledore's Army meeting.

As I turned the corner entering the hallway in which the door was located, I saw Luna skipping into the entrance. Moments later I heard the sound of several shoes hitting the floor, then seconds later I saw Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and Mr. Filch running in the direction Luna had just disappeared into. The realization hit them as soon as the entrance disappeared, creating an open door to a broom closet that they weren't going to get into the Room of Requirement. Not even a heartbeat later, there was a loud bang alongside the sound of several objects falling as I grew closer to the door.

Once I was close enough, I saw Draco scramble out of the pile of bodies and sat on the floor just outside the door looking disastrous.

"Aw, did poor Draco get hurt? Do I need to kiss it better?" I spoke sarcastically as I approached him, stopping just shy of his feet, that is until he stood up swiftly.
