"You think one one dance will do, then I'll go home with you, you're crazy." At the sound of that voice, we all turned.
I choked on my drink to see Kitty on stage with my sister for karaoke night. When she left with Sasha and my female friends, she was a little tipsy. Now, I don't know but she now has the courage to stand facing the crowd and singing that exact song as if she was trying to tease me or bring more attention to herself. I had no problem with that, I liked that she's coming out of her shell to enjoy her life. Maybe I love it too much because she her with me and I never go out with a female before, I'm always using them where I get them.
My girl was in sad excuse of a dress that shows her curves. It was mainly lace holding things together. Worst when she isn't shaped like most women in the room who requires a BBl or such. Kitty left my house as a natural beauty. Her afro combed out, big hooped earrings, highlighted makeup and lash, glossy lips, and flats on her feet as she had held my hand.
"That man standing in your way, he's my man and he don't play. I just wanted to see what he would do if I danced with another man." She sang with her smoothing sweet voice with a laugh at the end. "I'm just messing with you, just to see what he would do..."
"Lord, have his mercy on you don. Big music entertainer and it seems you're keeping a big talent to yourself." Frass chuckled as our friends agreed.
"Have you put her in your studio?" Fat skull enquired.
"No." I answered, wanting to hear more of her voice and not my sister's.
"I can write a song for her. Give her a try." Frass urged and I swear this man will not let it go, so I agreed.
"Fine, let me know when."
"I would've given you all of my heart, but there is someone who tore it apart. An she has taken almost all that I've got, but if you want, I'll try to look love again... The first cut is the deepest...but when it comes to being lucky, people. When it comes to loving me, people... That's how I know, the first cut is the deepest, just to have you by my side. Just to help me dry the tears that I cry. An I'm sure that I'll give you a try, and if you want I'll try to love again..."
"There it is." Frass laughed. "Your grand aunt's song. The big hit."
"Marcia Griffiths." Foodie nodded and I chuckled.
She was so invested in the song that she wasn't aware that everyone's watching her. Before her, anyone who went up wasn't so good but her voice had capture the attention of everyone. Worst when they've noticed that I've walked in with her in my arms.
She gave her new friends a chance but it seems they gave up because she was the main attraction to the crowd so they told her to sing free style. Throwing her drink back, she walked on the small stage and took the microphone from Cherry.
My mouth hung with disbelief at the song choice.
"Mah suga daddy took me out, just to kick it and settle down. Man em shots been coming roun after roun... You know he's old so we had to slow it down." This lady points in my direction and my friends lost it, hyping her up for call me old.
"Ready to go cause his old ass all on me... I'm at the bar just me and my hen, copping it up with the ole ass friends..."
This time I was laughing at them and so were their women. I swear my girl was more than they've expected, more than what I have expected.
"I took one too many shots to the head, we got back to the room papa threw me on the bed an, he came alive I'm surprised he ain't dead." She looked away from me to her new friends. "Girl that ole muthfucker put my legs behind my head, bitch."
