"Good morning, Mrs. Griffiths." Professor Northe responded to Kitty's greeting who turned to me with widened eyes. "Let's introduce you to our team, they are delighted to meet you."

Still, she had no idea pertaining to the work I've mentioned yesterday. So when I drove onto the campus towards the University's museum of Jamaica's history, she grew confused.

Professor Northe met us at the door and here we are as he led us to his team. He conducted another introduced and they too called us Mister and Mrs. Griffiths. It really boosted my confidence and better yet, my ego.

Professor got to it straight away as we entered the room filled with all the findings from the property.

"It's an absolute pleasure to conduct this meeting and we'll begin with the history found. This is an old parchment letter that dates back around the late or early 1820's. It was found amongst many others but this is the first we were able to recover as the hand writing and broken seal is familiar. Meaning, this letter was written by the famous John Rose Palmer to an old friend Charles David Bernard."

"We know not what is being said as the ink is almost faded. We've concluded that it is a letter of invitation as John got married around that time frame."

"The next paper is a document, father to Rosa Kelly former plantation owner of this sold slave, Agatha Kelly. She was his property as we went through the baptismal record history and found the information needed. Robert Kelly an English planter since 1742, was a friend or business partner with Ray Bernard. Great, great, great grandfather of Charles Bernard... Henry marry Rosa Kelly of July 16, 1746..."

I literally tuned out the history but Kitty was more interested, maybe it was her job of being a teacher that made her interest surfaces. This information brought up a whole new meaning to the property as we went around the tables with the items and they were all explained to us. After lunch we head back to talk legal business upon the arrival of government officials, my family and our lawyers.

A map was drawn out, something familiar to Kitty as she voiced her options and concerns. They showed all the property in the area, covering even the surrounding areas. Kitty was worried for her community as well as our land as few made rude comments. However, Professor Northe and Judge Sanders announced the list of heirs, overseers and so forth since 1828 up until the early 1960's. The heirs were always males; all sons, uncle's, nephew and cousins.

"I'm the lawyer of Miss Kelly and Stephen Griffiths..." Max went on to explain, showing proof that we legally own the properties.

It stretches on until a date was made by the judge to conduct the official meeting regarding to the plum lane properties. The heirs, previous and recent owners will be present with their lawyers.

Kitty left the meeting worried and stressed, but then turned to Max as we stood in the parking lot.

"You've said that it's not a coincidence that my family name is Kelly and that the property can be ours. I've had some old documents back at home and most are in very good condition than what was found on the old property. Can you look over them before the meeting, I wouldn't want to lose something that rightfully belong to us."

"You're still leaving on Saturday?" Max enquired from me.

"Yes."

"I'll be there bright and early Monday morning. Don't worry Kitty, you yourself is a blessing to us all so continue do what you're doing, we're here for you. I've also heard how amazing the apartment complex is and I want to enjoy the rent free hospitality as well as your famous pastries." He grinned, shaking our hands before leaving.
