Hyunjin's heart sank when Yoongi finished the story out of grief for his brother.
"Oh, uhm...that's tough."
Yeji's mouth gaped open. "WHAT?! HE LOST HIS FUTURE HUSBAND?"
"Well, I don't know about tha-"
"They were so gonna get married! I saw how those two looked at each other, I saw how they hugged, I felt like I was third-wheeling them BUT WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT!" Yeji interrupted and the other two fell silent.
"That's..." Hyunjin trailed off.
"It's true," Ni-Ki said, turning the corner. "we promised to date and then eventually become something else...he whispered something to me before he fell asleep."
"What'd he say?" Yoongi asked.
"Nishimura Riki, I love you. Never forget that." Ni-Ki repeated the younger's words.
"Oh," Yoongi remembered. "he wanted me to give you this." he handed the blonde a small note.
Ni-Ki took it hesitantly, hoping to not cry in front of them.
He opened it and started to read it.
Hey, Ni-Ki. This is Jungwon. Ni-Ki...Ni-Ki...the name is getting unfamiliar by the second. I don't think I have much time. My head hurts, so i'll make this quick.
Ni-Ki, if I die today or something, please remember me. You were easily the person I loved the most in my life, and you always made me happy.
I'm sorry I couldn't live the life with you that I promised. I couldn't make you happy in the end with a wedding. I already bought the ring that I would give you on that day. Yoongi has taken the responsibility of bringing it to you.
I love you, Nishimura Riki. If I ever had multiple lives, I'd want to spend them with you again, since you were the best thing to ever happen to me.
Goodbye, and I love you.

Before Ni-Ki knew it, he was crying.
"Riki..." Hyunjin wrapped his arms around the younger, his own tears almost falling down.
Yoongi grabbed Ni-Ki's hand and placed the ring in it.
"Here's the ring."
The blonde rolled it around in his hands. It was silver, with turquoise in the center.
He then saw the engravings on the inside. They were small, but Ni-Ki could just make out what they wrote out.
Jungwon and Ni-Ki. I thought I saved you, but you saved me.
