Chapter 20 - Make Up Or Not?

FLASHBACK: FELIX

"So you'll never leave me, right Yongbok?" Nari asked, looking up at Felix.

"Don't call me 'Yongbok'," the Aussie boy giggled, smiling warmly. "but right. I'll never leave you."

Nari hummed, hugging Felix tightly as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"Felix?" she asked.

"Yeah?"

She faced him, taking his hand in hers.

"I love you."

Felix's eyes widened. He stumbled on his words as he tried to look everywhere but at the girl in front of him.

"I..."

"You love me too, right?" she tried to clarify, her grip on the other's hand tightening.

"I...yes. I love you too."

Hyunjin didn't care if he was victim to any risks at that moment. He didn't care if he could possibly break a bone if he tripped on the sidewalk. The pain could never compare to what he was feeling right now.

His tears felt as if they would flood the earth. They burned his cheeks as he closed his eyes, not caring that he didn't even know where he was going, or when he would stop.

But after running for what felt like a lifetime, Hyunjin fell to the ground, burying his face in his knees as his sobs were the only thing that he could hear.

"Hyunjin...? Hyunjin!"

The said boy looked up, watching as two unrecognizable figures kneeled down in front of him.

"Hyunjin! Oh my gosh, Minho call 911."

"What? He's not gonna die—"

"Just do it, man!"

"Who..." Hyunjin muttered out.

"Hyunjin, don't worry, we're here, everything's going to be okay."

"Everything would've already been okay, but sure."

"Shut the fuck up, Minho."

Weak and exhausted by overwhelming emotions and everlasting tears that blurred and stung his eyes, Hyunjin took a deep breath, and collapsed onto the sidewalk.

"HE'S DEAD!"

"HE'S NOT DEAD HOE, CALM DOWN!"

When Hyunjin woke up, he was surrounded by equipment. Technology that he wasn't aware of, until the reality hit him when he realized the clothing he was wearing.

This was a hospital.

Before he could even try and fully take in his surroundings, Yoongi burst through the door.

"FUCKING JESUS CHRIST, HWANG HYUNJIN. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH ME AND YOUR FAMILY WORRIED?!" the man yelled, making Hyunjin flinch.

"Calm down, Yoongi."

"DON'T FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN! WHAT IN THE FUCK HAPPENED!"

"I...don't remember. I think..."

Hyunjin's past memories from before he passed out all came back to him, like as if a video had been rewinded back a day.
