Chapter 19 - Shit's About To Get Real

OK I KINDA JUMPED HEAD FIRST INTO THIS BUT CHAN INVITED HYUNLIX TO HIS NIECE'S BAPTISM AND I'M SRY I WAS GONNA INCLUDE IT IN A CHAPTER BUT THE CHAPTER GOT SCRAPPED SO HERE WE GO ENJOY

"Hyunjin?" Felix asked, gaining the attention of the said boy.

"Yes, baby?" the older replied, swinging an arm around his lover's shoulders.

Felix blushed heavily at the name.

"Don't call me that here, Hyunjin."

"Aww, why not?" Hyunjin whined, turning the blonde's face towards him and showering it with small pecks.

Felix immediately pulled away, startled by the taller's boldness.

"Because this is a church, Hyunjin. We're under the house of God!" he rolled his eyes.

"It's not my fault Chan insisted that we watched his niece get baptized." the taller sighed, turning away from the other.

Felix considered asking Chan if they could leave early, but he decided against it.

Fine. Just this once. he sighed.

The blonde then turned to Hyunjin, cupping his face in his hands and bringing it towards him as the other leaned forward.

They looked each other in the eyes before closing them as their lips collided.

Felix blushed softly. Although he couldn't stand Hyunjin sometimes, he loved this feeling.

But little did they know that Chan saw the whole thing. And oh boy was he mad.

"I can't fuckin' believe you two," Chan scoffed. "kissing while my own niece is getting baptized? Didn't I tell you guys like, 10 times that we were under the house of God?"

The boyfriends nodded, their heads hung low.

"We're sorry, Chan. We just-"

"Just what?" Chan emphasized. "Don't forget that I'm basically the reason you two even met. At least show some gratitude for that."

"We know, Chris. And we're very sorry. We won't do it again, we promise." Felix said, looking up at his fellow Aussie.

Chan sighed, opening the door to his car. "You better not."

Hyunjin got hit by a wave of realization as Chan started the engine.

"Wait, weren't you supposed to take us home...?"

"You guys have money, right? Go take the bus. I don't want you two making out in the backseat."

And with that, Chan sped off.

Felix and Hyunjin didn't look at each other at all during the bus ride. They didn't hold hands, they didn't talk, they just both seemed as if they had newfound interest in the ground.

Even when it was their stop, they just continued to face the ground as they got off the bus.

Hyunjin was about to head home in the other direction when Felix tugged on his sleeve.

He looked back at the blonde, only to see a sudden movement of his hand as he shortly after felt a strong burning sensation on his cheek.

He touched his cheek. It was warm.

Felix had...no, he couldn't have had.

But then after everything that had happened, Hyunjin was ready to admit it.

Felix, his own boyfriend, the love of his life, had slapped him. And the pain felt like needles were about to claw at his face and tear his skin off from the overwhelming emotions swirling in Hyunjin's heart.

"F-Felix?" Hyunjin fully turned around to the younger, although he regretted it now.

Felix was angry. So angry.

"Hwang Hyunjin, I've had enough of this." he said.

But that statement didn't break Hyunjin's heart as nearly as the next one would.

"We should break up."

Hyunjin felt time stop. He wanted to not process his boyfriend's words. He wanted to turn back time to before this even happened.

But before he could say anything, his tears spoke everything he was feeling.

"W-What?"

"You heard me. We should break up." the younger repeated, balling his fists tightly.

Hyunjin backed away from Felix, not wanting to believe his friend's words.

He shook his head violently, his tears glistening down as he ran quickly in the other direction, out of Felix's sight.

Felix breathed heavily, before dropping to his knees.

He covered his face with his small hands and started to silently sob.

It's all for you, Nari. he thought to himself. All for you.
