THESE CHAPTERS R JUST GONNA BE CUTE NOW.

ENJOOOY!!!

i'm standing in front of the door to my apartment, pacing. the nerves in my body are fueling my energy for pacing at 10 at night.

when i hear a knock on my door i abruptly stop. i feel like i'm going to choke on my words because i can't believe this is actually happening.

i do feel bad though. i pulled her away from her best friends. i clear my throat and wipe my sweating hands on my pants. i unlock the door, opening it to reveal the one girl i fell for this christmas.

"is this happening?", i ask, breathless.

she can't help but smile while nodding her head. she rushes through the doors and wraps her arms around me tightly. my arms instinctively wrap around her waist and pull her close.

"so the magic worked?", i ask with excitement.

"yes. i'm-i'm alive!", she exclaims, "i have a heartbeat! i have a temperature! people can see me."

i laugh at her reaction to normal humanly things. i walk just out the door and grab her suitcase, pulling it inside before shutting the door and locking it.

"i was gonna look for an apartment bu—"

i shake my head, "nah. you're moving in."

i see the faint pink in her cheeks which makes me smile. i walk over to her and move the hair out of her face. i lean down and kiss her lips slowly this time. i savor the moment before pulling away to catch a breath.

"this is gonna be fun.", she breaths out.

i open my eyes and feel weight on my chest. i see nini's brunette hair and i'm shocked for a moment before remembering what happened. it still feels like a dream. i run my fingers through her hair and she slowly wakes up.

she cocks her head back to look at me and i smile at her. she rubs her tired eyes and yawns.

"good morning.", i smile, crunching upward to kiss her forehead, "we have a lot to do today."

she perks up at that, looking at me with confusion. she groans and tosses her head back down onto the pillow next to my head. i laugh and she turns her back towards me.

i use my hand and set it on her waist, pulling her so she rolls until she's facing me. i push the hair behind her ears and she looks annoyed.

"it's gonna be fun, relax. we're just going shopping.", i chuckle.

she yawns again and her eyes remain shut. i kiss her lips and when i pull back, her eyes open. she smiles at me and then lets out a breath.

"why can't we just do that all day?", she complains.

"you have to get out into the real world...you've been a ghost for how long?"

"like 15 years...", she mumbles.

i raise my eyebrows, "oh yeah...you need to get out into the world."

it's later in the afternoon and we've been walking through the crowded mall for hours now. i've been buying nini pretty much anything and everything just so i can make her feel at home.

i'm still new to the whole love thing and i know she is too. but she makes it easy. everything feels natural with her. we're walking along the sidewalk, holding hands as she stares into the shops. my eyes continue to admire her and i feel a smile on my face. she turns to look at me then giggles a little.

"what?"

i shake my head, "nothing."

after some more walking we arrive back at our car. both of us get in and i start driving back towards the apartment. we bought a bunch of decorations and she got a ton of new clothes.

when we get to the apartment, we manage to carry everything up in one trip. i shut the door with my foot and let out a breath as we drop all the bags onto the counters.

"that was exhausting.", nini breaths out.

i laugh at her as i begin to unload everything we got.

it's later at night and nini and i are sitting on the couch together. we have a show playing but it's more so serving as background noise since we just keep talking to each other.

"i still can't believe you're...here?", i say.

she nods her head in agreement, "me neither. but i'm glad i get a do-over. i can fulfill my dreams."

i smile at her and thread my fingers through hers. i use my thumb to gently caress the back of her palm as we continue talking.

"you better be looking left and right when it comes to streets now.", i joke.

she raises her brows, "believe me...i am."

she lets out a breath, watching the tv. my eyes admire her complexion even more. i can't help it. she's just perfect in my eyes. i lean forward and kiss her head.

"i love you nini."

she turns her face to me with a growing smile. she moves closer to me and kisses my lips.

"i love you ricky."
