Chapter 22~ First day of Training

*giggles* "Shut up Jeff"

While Jeff was dancing, Slenderman teleported in the kitchen with somebody new that I've never seen before. He was slim and had some type of gas mask on with goggles. His hair dark as dark chocolate. I stared at him, he noticed and looked at me. I could tell if he was smiling or frowning. Its was kinda creepy.

Slenderman: Good morning everyone. Ms. Korbyn, today we will start you training of becoming the new Seer. Go put your work out clothes on and let's head out to the backyard.

"OK but who is that behind you?"

Slenderman: This is Toby. He's another one of my proxies. He's kinda shy to people he doesn't know. Go on Toby, say something.

He walks up to me slow and stopped. He rubs hands and starts to speak.

Toby: H-hi ms. K-korbyn. Its n-n-nice t-to meet y-you! As y-you can s-see I kinda h-have a sp-speech problem. I h-hope that isn't a pr-problem.

"No! Not at all! Nice to meet you too!"

I said as I shook his hand. Then he turned around and looked at Masky. Toby ran and jumped on Masky's back.

Toby: Masky!!!!! H-how are y-you?! D-did y-you miss me?! I bet y-you did!

He yelled while still on his back and poking his face.

Masky: Yeah, sure. Hey could you get off my back?

Toby: Oh, s-sure!

Toby said as he hopped off of Masky. Masky stood up straight and walked out the kitchen quickly.

Toby: H-hi Jeff!!!

Toby said while running to Jeff but stop to a knife pointing at his face.

Jeff: Don't even think about it! You know I don't do hugs and shit like that so unless you want to die again, I suggest you stay right where you are.

Toby: Why d-do y-you always do that? Oh w-well, you just w-won't g-get a hug from m-me!

Jeff: *whisper* Its not like I wanted one anyway.

Slenderman: Anyway go up stairs and get dress. We have a lot to lean today.

"OK"

I ran up stairs to get a change of clothes and went to the backyard to see Slenderman with Jeff standing beside him.

"What's Jeff doing out here?"

Slenderman: He's here to help with your training. One of the first things a Seer needs to learn is how to protect themselves and others. So its you and Jeff against me!

" Wait, how do I protect myself?"

Slenderman: By using your power of course. Plus the ring that Jeff give you. The ring is a shield but your the only one that can make it appear. So use team work when attacking your opponent.

"But I still don't understand how to do that?"

Slenderman: Just believe in yourself and think about who you want to protect and you should be fine.

Jeff: I've been waiting for this my whole life. Its pretty funny actually. If the big and bad Slenderman gets beat by his proxy. I can't wait. Just leave this to me, I don't need any help!

Slenderman: We start now!

He said as his body stretched two times taller then my house and arms and legs got really buff. Fingers sharp and long as a sharks tooth. Thick black tentacles grew from his back and wigged in the air.

Slenderman: *deep voice* Don't worry, y'all are the only ones that can see me.

I just realized that today is the day I die. Yup! I'm a goner. Someone pray for me.
I think in my brain over and over again while looking at Slenderman from below.

Jeff: *grinning * Just sit back and watch! Ahhhhhh!!!!

He yelled as he ran towards Slenderman.

"Jeff wait! He told us to work together!"

I yelled but he couldn't hear me. Why do I have to work with him? Nevermind I have to focuse on how to get this shield to work!

Jeff ran and used his super strength to jump. He took out his knife and cut one of Slenderman's tentacles off and it dropped to the ground. It was still moving. Right after he cut the tentacle, another one grew back in its place.

Jeff: Damn that one tough kraken. Its going to hard to take him down.

"Jeff I told you we need to, Ahhhhh!!!"

I screamed as a tentacle grabbed my leg and dragged me high into the air. I'm upside down in the air trying to wiggle away from his grip.

"Jeff! Help me!!!"

I yelled but instead of helping me, he points at me and laughs. But while he was laughing, another tentacle came from behind and swung him into a tree hard.

"Jeff!! Are you OK?!"

Jeff: Hehe that was cheating, I wasn't paying attention.

He said as he stood up wobbling. I started feeling light headed from being upside down to long.

"Jeff! Come get me down now!! I feel like I'm about to pass out!!"

Jeff: OK ok, just stop yelling!

He runs and cuts the tentacle that was holding my leg. I closed my eyes knowing that I'm falling to my death.

"Ahhhhh!!!! Why?"

Jeff: Shut up!! We're on the ground now.

As I slowly open my eye, I realize that I'm in Jeff's arms and start blushing.

"*blushing* I think you can put me down now!"

Jeff: Sure! Your were getting heavy anyway.

He said as he dropped me on my ass.

"Ouch! Meanie!"

I stood up and looked at my ring and tried to focus my energy all into it.

Jeff: Korbyn, hurry up with that shield! His tentacle is growing again!

"I'm trying. Don't rush me!"

Jeff: Well sorry to burst your bubble, but there's a tentacle headed toward you at 3 o'clock! Watch out!

Jeff pushed me down and the tentacle punched him in the stomach. It punched him so hard, he spit out blood.

"Jeff!! Are you alright? Jeff answer me!"

I ran to Jeff and he wasn't moving. I felt around his stomach and the part where Scarecrow hit him before was bleeding again. Oh my god! I'm sorry. I should have focused hard! I'm so sorry.
While I was checking Jeff, I had a sense another tentacle was coming from behind. I cleared my mind and thought about who I wanted to protect. I want to protect people. I want to protect Jeff!

*Buzz!*

A beautiful golden shield appeared from the ring and stop the tentacles punch. Slenderman came back to his normal size and start clapping.

Slenderman: You did it. Great!

"Yeah but at what cost. Look at Jeff."

Slenderman: Oh its all good. His wounds will heal within a few hours and he'll be good as new. Its his fault for challenging me while still wounded.

"Wait, I thought you said this was testing my skills?"

Slenderman: It was but also because Jeff thought he didn't need any help defeating me. So this was also helping him with team work.
