Slenda and Slender mutter to each other at the steps of the mansion with Scarecrow and Kagekao. Meanwhile, Ally and I keep an eye on Lazari while Angel and Angels double check the ropes keeping her tied to a tree. Unable to stop pacing, Ally walks around me, casting a glance between Lazari and I between every pivot on her heel.

"Scarecrow said she's fed now," I put my hand on Ally's shoulder to stop her, "There's no chance of her transforming again."

Ally looks back at Lazari before whispering to me, "Lazari hath Zalga's blood!"

"That doesn't mean she's evil," when Angel nods to me after checking the bindings, I guide Ally back to the mansion steps, "You have Slenda's blood, but you're not exactly like her, are you?"

"Lazari's genesis is unlike my own. Compare me not to vermin," the doll shakes her head, walking ahead of me.

Slenda stands up at our approach and lays a hand on Ally's head, "Is Lazari secure?"

I nod, "What are we doing with her?"

"We are going to have a little talk with Lazari," Slender says.

I eye them with suspicion, "You're going to torture her? That will only turn her away from us!"

"(Y/N)," Slender walks downstairs to me, "we cannot trust the daughter of Zalga based on word alone. You know this."

"You can't check her intentions?" I turn to Slenda.

She stares in Lazari's direction, "Zalga has made certain that it is impossible. That transformation earlier was no coincidence – if I try to invade her mind, we will have another fight on our hands."

I stare past her at Scarecrow. She shrugs at me. Slender goes to walk past me, but I hold my arm out to him.

He laughs, "You are kidding, yes?"

"We won't torture her," I glare up at him, "Please, just let me talk to her."

"So that she may feed you lies?" Slenderman moves my arm away, "I think not."

I walk in front of him, "Have you ever been tortured?" I turn my nose up at him, "You'll find it's good for nothing but getting answers. I know that all too well, but you wouldn't know that, would you?"

Slenderman looks down at me, "I believe you are overstepping your bounds, human," he lays a hand on my shoulder, "Do not make me-"

Slenda appears beside us, her hand already wrapped around his wrist, "And so are you, Slenderman," she sibilates, "This is my Proxy."

Slenderman wrenches his hand away from her, glaring down at me, "You would risk our alliance, Slenderwoman? For a Terror? A corrupted demon?"

"If you force my hand..." Slenda whispers, moving me behind her, "yes."

Glancing down at me and back at her, Slenderman turns to face the majesty of his mansion, "That demon will stay in your mansion. I will not allow her to massacre my Proxies on the naïve whims of a deluded human, and we will not aid you if Lazari chooses to bite the hand that feeds her. Angels!"

Judge Angels comes running up from the forest, shrinking at the weight of the air between us. She walks to Slenderman's side to enter her mansion. When the doors slam shut, Scarecrow and Kagekao make their way down to us. Ally follows behind them.

"I'm sorry," I connect to Slenda telepathically as we return to Lazari.

"Never be sorry for the ignorance of others," Slenda's voice enters my mind like a passing wind, "Slenderman may underestimate your intuition of others, but I will not. Not again."
