Presenting Lorelai pt.1
Rowan, Rory, and Lorelai are seated at Luke's discussing Rory's new grade she got on a paper. For some reason, Rory keeps doubting her work but Rowan just stayed out of it because if that's what Rory thinks is her worse then she'd probably faint at the site of what Rowan calls her best.
Luke walked over to the Gilmores and filled their mugs.
"Coffee, coffee, and hot chocolate," Luke said while going in order from Lorelai to Rowan.
"Uh look I don't want anything I'm actually about leave," Rowan said pushing her cup of hot chocolate away.
"What- no I already poured the hot chocolate. You can't ask for a drink, push it away and not pay." Luke said while pushing the hot chocolate toward her.
"Yes, I can. I told Carmen I'd meet up with her somewhere and I can't be late." Rowan said while pushing the hot chocolate back towards Luke again.
Things were a bit rocky between them right now and Rowan still hadn't apologized for snapping at her on Monday."Not so fast. Where are you guys meeting up?" Lorelai asked looking at Rowan in a quizzingly manner.
"Why?" Rowan replied.
"Because I'd like to know"
"but why?"
"Rowan."
"Okay okay, we're going to be at that old run-down van in the forest," Rowan said hurried tone because she was running late.
"Interesting," Lorelai said with a teasing grin.
"Mom- what!?" Rowan said while rolling her eyes. It seems as if she can't get a break from the teasing whenever she mentions Carmen's name.
She's been thinking of giving Carmen a code name so she doesn't have to go through this every day.
"Nothing just you and Carmen, Alone, in an abandoned van. Sounds suspicious." Lorelai said with the same teasing smirk still on her face.
"It is suspicious," Rory added. "Who invited who?"
"I invited her," Rowan said huffing. Her patience for the two Lorelai's in front of her was running out.
"You invited Carmen, a girl who knows you like her, to an abandoned van in the forest, with no other company? Suspicious." Lorelai said. "I'm not judging though, go you!"
"Would you guys stop?" Rowan said annoyed. "She's always known I've liked her and that's never made anything weird when we would hang out. Drop it!"
"If a boy who I knew liked me invited me anywhere alone I'd be a nervous wreck," Rory said, ignoring Rowan's request to drop the topic.
"Okay! I get it, it might've been suggestive but it's
100% not. We both agreed to stay friends cause anything more would ruin our friendship." Rowan exclaimed."Are you sure she didn't suggest it and you just went along?" Lorelai asked.
"You know what, I'm leaving!"
__"Honestly I'm so tired of that school! They couldn't afford new cheer uniforms so they're making us use our clothes. Do you know how ridiculous we'll look? Imagine a cheer team all wearing semi-coordinating, regular clothes because their stupid school doesn't care about them. It makes us look horrible!" Carmen ranted on about cheerleading clothes or something like that Rowan wasn't listening to her.
She was listening at first but got tired and just zoned out. She had been thinking of a way to kind of generally apologize to Carmen even though in their time apart Carmen kind of already forgave her,
she still felt a verbal apology was necessary.
