⌠ Poco Path ⌡

You woke up to Fuecoco trying to bite you, was it an attempt to wake you up?

"I'm up! I'm up! No biting!" You exclaimed

"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco said

You got up as Fuecoco hopped out of your bed and managed to grab the bag that you'd be using for your journey.

Fuecoco looked up at you before walking out of the room.

You got dressed and grabbed your hat and map from the bag.

You immediately ran down the stairs hearing Fuecoco's calls.

"Fuecoco! Hi buddy! Ready to go?" You asked

Your mom and her Florges weren't home, most likely selling stuff.

You smiled at the note that mom left you along with a Poke Ball she left on the counter, it'd come in handy sooner or later.

You scooped up Fuecoco quickly and went outside with all of your essentials, you took a Poke Ball your mom left for you too.

"Maybe we should catch a Fire Type, like you! Or maybe even a Dark Type." You brainstormed

"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco said

You made it to a grassy hill that'd lead you to somewhere unknown, at least it was unknown to you since it was pretty new.

"Hmm. I wonder where we are." You stated

You set Fuecoco down and grabbed your map, it was a little windy so you had to hold your hat.

"We're here! See? Poco Path is just over there!" You smiled

Fuecoco stared at the map cluelessly as to what you were talking about and or pointing out.

"Fuecoco?" Fuecoco replied

"We're here currently and that's where we need to be, we'll find a friend for you!" You explained

Fuecoco nodded as you put the map back in your bag.

You and Fuecoco began running down the hill to a sign that said "Poco Path".

"Here it is! And look! A Pawmi!" You exclaimed

You got out your Rotom Phone before it scanned the Pokémon.

"Pawmi. The Mouse Pokémon. The pads of its paws are electricity-discharging organs. Pawmi fires electricity from its forepaws while standing unsteadily on its hind legs." The Rotom Said

"Let's catch it. Come on!" You smiled

"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco exclaimed

The Pawmi began running so you and Fuecoco followed it.

"Hurry!" You said

Fuecoco ran as fast as he could and so did you but the Pawmi kept going.

"Careful!" You shouted

Fuecoco almost got hit by Pawmi's electricity discharges when the Pokémon made a sharp turn.

The Pawmi zigzagged into the woods but you and your Pokémon Partner were still chasing it.

You heard something in the woods and you immediately stopped in your tracks to look off to your side, nothing.

"What was that?" You asked

Fuecoco caught up to you and quickly looked around, he didn't quite know what you were looking for but he wanted to assist you in doing whatever.

You whipped your head around and saw a violet tail-like body part which was most likely from a Pokémon, but what Pokémon in Paldea fit that description?

"Let's get back on the path." You suggested

You and Fuecoco cluelessly looked around.

"We're lost!" You pointed out

Fuecoco quickly clung to your side, anything could happen in the woods. Groups of Stantler could appear and that wouldn't be good at all.

"Let's go try and find some help Fuecoco!" You said

You picked up Fuecoco and quickly tried finding your way out of the woods, you ignored every Pokémon that you had seen.

You stared at the sky that was hidden by the trees, you could still make out what time of day it was and how the sky looked.

It seemed to be dusk.

"We need to find shelter, I guess we could camp out here for a while." You smiled

The fire on Fuecoco's head burned brighter as the surrounding areas around you got darker, it was finally nighttime.

"Thanks Fuecoco." You thanked

"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco replied

You found a large tree with a bunch of leaves surrounding it, it'd make a good place to camp out.

"I got some food if you'd like." You offered

You set your bag down before sitting down yourself and getting out a few berries.

Fuecoco turned down the berries so you ate some before putting the rest in the bag incase Fuecoco got hungry.

"I guess we could try and make ourselves comfortable." You said

Just then when you thought everything could get better, it started to rain.

Fuecoco quickly hid behind you, he seemed to be afraid of the rain which you didn't judge.

You got out your Rotom Phone and took a picture with Fuecoco that seemed to cheer him up.

"Don't worry Fuecoco, we'll leave in the morning." You reassured

"Fuecoco." Fuecoco responded

You got out the small blanket and wrapped it around Fuecoco which seemed to make Fuecoco a lot more happier than he was originally.

"You look adorable!" You complimented

Fuecoco laid down up against a sturdy bush before falling asleep.

You kept sitting and staring off into the forest which did not seem welcoming at night.

You heard a roar off in the distance which scared you into moving into the tree more, what could've made that noise?

You pulled a few leaves over yourself and Fuecoco which seemed to hide the two of you pretty well from whatever decided to disturb you.

You began thinking once more about if you'd actually make it out of the forest.

Mom was probably missing you right about now but you'd make sure to come home with some new Pokémon so that the two of you wouldn't be as lonely as you were at times.

The rain seemed to stop pouring harshly and had gone into more of a drizzle which put you in a calmer state.

Being stuck in the woods was not the life of a Pokémon trainer that you wanted, not even Fuecoco liked being stuck in the woods and the Fire Croc Pokémon that you had was usually very happy and upbeat about everything.

You adjusted yourself a little and got comfortable while making sure that you and Fuecoco would be safe while you slept in the forest since most Pokémon that resided there were either unintentionally dangerous or very aggressive.

You fell asleep after a while of thinking and being paranoid that something would hurt or take Fuecoco overnight or try to grab your bag, the last option was least likely to happen though.
