You woke up in the woods the next day right beside Fuecoco who hadn't moved an inch overnight, that was good.
"Wake up Fuecoco! We need to find a way out of here!" You exclaimed
That made Fuecoco wake up quickly to see that you were already packing up everything that you had brought out for the night.
"I'll carry you since the grass is a little wet." You said
You picked up Fuecoco and happily began walking to find a way out of the forest and into literally any other city.
"Look!" You exclaimed
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco called
Your smile got wider when you spotted an exit.
You ran out of the woods and somehow ended up in quite the dry place but it was very lively to say the least.
"What's this?" You asked
It wasn't actually a dry place, you seemed to be in a town of some sort. You didn't quite know the town though.
You saw many Pokémon and their trainers walk by.
Fuecoco was in your arms, you needed to find a Pokémon centre.
As if it had appeared when you thought of it a large Pokémon Centre had came into view where you could buy some stuff and stay the night.
You entered the Pokémon Centre with Fuecoco as a Nurse Joy and a Blissey stood at the front desk waiting for customers.
"Nurse Joy!" You exclaimed
"Hello! How May I help you?" Nurse Joy smiled
"Blissey!" Blissey said
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco replied
"Do you know the nearest cities or paths where you can find Pokémon?" You asked
"There is Mesagoza, Cortondo, Porto Marinada and many more! Although some of those options aren't that close to here." Nurse Joy informed
"That's okay! Have a nice day!" You smiled
Forget sleeping overnight, your goal was to get to Porto Marinada.
You set down Fuecoco and sat on a bench before you pulled out a Rotom Phone.
"It says that there's a bus leaving tomorrow for Porto Marinada." You informed
"Fuecoco?" Fuecoco said
"We'll catch a bus tomorrow then. For now we can camp out somewhere behind town until the morning." You smiled
You saw a store that was selling camping supplies for quite the good price in your opinion.
"Let's go get some stuff there." You stated
Fuecoco followed you to the small shop where you bought only a tent, you didn't need much else for the night.
You and Fuecoco walked to where you'd set up camp. You read instructions to building one online as Fuecoco watched.
"Done!" You smiled
It wasn't perfect but it'd do for the night.
You let Fuecoco inside first before letting yourself inside first.
"Let's eat!" You exclaimed
You pulled out a few berries which Fuecoco happily devoured before you grabbed a few of them yourself, you could tell that you were gonna need more.
"We'll go try and find some berries at Porto Marinada." You informed
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco called
"Oh! I still haven't checked you Pokédex entry!" You said
"Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon. Fuecoco is laid-back and does things at its own pace. Fuecoco enjoys eating, and it will rush towards any food it sees." The Rotom Phone explained
"We both enjoy eating!" You shared
Fuecoco got up and lunged at you before latching onto your arm and biting it.
"I'm starting to think you do this out of affection!" You laughed
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco responded
You managed to get Fuecoco off your arm quickly, you were getting used to taking Fuecoco off your arm no matter how hard he bites.
"I wonder what Pokémon we'll catch at Porto Marinada!" You said
Fuecoco seemed to be happy that he gets another Pokémon friend, you figured that if a starter wasn't chosen it's other friends from the Pokémon centre would come and go meaning it'd be pretty sad each time they do get chosen.
"I think that we should get a Water Type, or even a Steel Type!" You smiled
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco exclaimed
You plopped your bag on the ground before unzipping it.
"Take some water!" You suggested
Fuecoco drank out of a water bottle with some assistance before you did the same.
You got out two poke balls and showed Fuecoco.
"We can catch two Pokémon with these, that means you'll have two new friends!" You informed
Fuecoco stared at the two poke balls before fixing his attention to outside where they were having quite the party.
"People have parties when they're happy or there's an important event, like a birthday! We'll have a birthday party for you one day and we'll invite all of our friends!" You smiled
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco said
Fuecoco sat down beside you happily as the two of you began listening to people laughing, yelling in joy and a bunch of other conversations.
"Let's get to sleep, shall we?" You asked
You set Fuecoco's blanket in the corner of the tent and made sure that everything was dimly illuminated so that you and him could see your surroundings.
"Tomorrow we'll head for Porto Marinada." You said
"Fuecoco!" Fuecoco replied
"Hope we catch a new Pokémon or even just see new Pokémon! It'd be amazing." You smiled
Fuecoco huddled up in his blanket before you made sure that the tent was secure enough so no wild Pokémon could get in.
You smiled before shifting yourself to another corner of the tent diagonally from Fuecoco, the two of you would get your own corners so that the two of you weren't rolling on top of each other in your sleep.
Fuecoco went to sleep in a flash but you sat there awake and thinking about whatever was going on outside, what could happen in Porto Marinada and how your mom was doing without you.
How was Florges and mom doing without you around the house to help the two with any cleaning, chores, selling or even just small things like cooking. You prayed they were okay, if they weren't you'd feel guilty for leaving for the rest of your life.
After a while of thinking you had finally got comfortable and laid down so that you could fall asleep, you ended up doing so and it was quite pleasant to finally get a good nights sleep compared to the forest night.
Nighttime in Paldea was peaceful, dimly illuminated places were everywhere which was quite pleasing and was very good for some Pokémon. Paldea took pride in Pokémon.
