You woke up to a feeling of pain on your arm and when you lazily looked down you immediately bolted awake.
"Crocalor! When did you bite me in my sleep!" You laughed
Pincurchin was on your head while Dachsbun and Arcanine were waiting outside the tent for you, you were gonna have to get used to your Pokémon waking up way before you do.
Crocalor roared happily and ran out the tent with Pincurchin, you quickly got changed and grabbed your bag before walking out.
"Let's go check on that soup! I'll be surprised if it did work!" You said
Pincurchin went up ahead and found the first trail marker that was made by his own Zing Zap.
Crocalor roared happily whilst walking alongside you on your right while Arcanine was on your left. Dachsbun was in front while Pincurchin was having fun on your arm.
You made it to the second one which was where the Spidops had appeared, you went past it as Arcanine sniffed around for the Spidops, all clear.
"I really hope that awful smell is gone." You said
Pincurchin screeched at a drop of some sticky colourful substance on the ground, you stopped in your tracks to stare at it. Just your luck, of course.
You looked down and felt like throwing up.
Your Pokémon didn't seem to mind the smell but they didn't exactly like it.
"We need the soup!" You exclaimed
Pincurchin wasn't at all fazed by the smell, could he even smell?
"You go up ahead and lead us there Pincurchin!" You suggested
Pincurchin hopped off your arm and quickly led you and your Pokémon there.
You looked down at the container before hearing a noise in the bushes.
"Everyone! Follow me!" You whispered
You went up behind a large bush, you seemed to have forgotten the horrid smell.
Dachsbun looked out and so did Arcanine while Pincurchin was on your head and Crocalor was against the bush.
You took a look back and saw a Scatterbug taking interest in the soup.
"A Scatterbug!" You whispers
You pulled out your Rotom Phone and scanned the Pokémon.
"Scatterbug, The Scatterdust Pokémon. Scatterbug eats various types of plants, including poisonous leaves and roots. The poison it ingests is processed and turned into a black powder that it scatters all over its body." Rotom said
You grabbed a Poke Ball but something very fast swept it away.
"What was that?" You asked
You stared for a moment or two before dashing towards the pot of soup, your Pokémon quickly followed you.
Something stopped you in your tracks, Grafaiai, it took the Scatterbug from earlier.
"Woah! A Grafaiai!" You said
The Grafaiai chittered at you defensively.
"I don't wanna fight. All I wanna do is grab tha-" You stated
The Grafaiai wasn't having it at all so it used Gunk Shot on Pincurchin.
"Use Bubble Beam!" You shouted
Pincurchin used the move but Grafaiai wasn't fazed at all, the move only made the Pokémon get defensive even more.
The Grafaiai used Fury Swipes.
"Use a series of Poison Jab!" You exclaimed
While Pincurchin was battling you quickly scanned Grafaiai.
"Grafaiai, The Toxic Monkey Pokémon. Grafaiai has a moody temperament and is attentive to detail. It is a solitary species, and often gets into territorial fights with other Pokémon, including other Grafaiai." Rotom stated
"This isn't good. We only make it mad by attacking!" You said
Grafaiai chittered angrily before using the move Fury Swipes.
"Okay! Now use Zing Zap!" You exclaimed
Pincurchin screeched and Grafaiai seemed to dodge the move.
The Grafaiai used the move Acid Spray, the Grafaiai seemed shocked by itself.
"Did it just learn a new move?!" You exclaimed
The Grafaiai shook off the shock while you quickly went back to the battle.
"Okay! Let's do it this time Pincurchin! Use Curse!" You ordered
Pincurchin successfully used the move, it might've lowered speed but it did buff strength and defence meaning it should be easier to defeat Grafaiai.
"Finish it off using Discharge!" You shouted
Grafaiai was unable to battle.
"You did it!" You exclaimed
You pat Pincurchin happily before picking him up and placing him on your head.
Arcanine, Dachsbun and Crocalor began congratulating Pincurchin.
You heard a quiet chitter below you.
Grafaiai was looking up at you happily.
"Hi! You were great at battling!" You smiled
Grafaiai chittered at you once more.
You got out a Poke Ball and Grafaiai nodded.
"Okay! I'll catch you!" You exclaimed
You threw the Poke Ball and Grafaiai was caught quickly.
"Grafaiai! Come out!" You said
Grafaiai came out in your arms, he didn't seem to wanna touch you using his fingers but he did still cling to you using his feet.
"That's Crocalor, Arcanine, Dachsbun and Pincurchin!" You smiled
Grafaiai didn't seem to react to the multiple Pokémon when they all greeted the new team member, Grafaiai wasn't really social with other Pokémon it seemed.
You looked at Grafaiai's known moves.
"Grafaiai know's Scratch, Poison Fang, Gunk Shot, Fury Swipes, Flatter and even Acid Spray!" You exclaimed
You and your Pokémon all walked back to the tent quickly after grabbing the soup that Grafaiai ate on the way.
"Here's where we sleep! And since you're nocturnal you can do whatever as long as you're near the tent." You smiled
Grafaiai chittered as you set him down on the old picnic table near your tent.
"You can always come in here if you'd like!" You exclaimed
You opened the tent before shutting it, you made sure to not close it all the way incase Grafaiai didn't know how to unzip a tent.
"Tomorrow we can go take a last look at the area before we head for the Eastern Region to go back home." You smiled
Arcanine laid down and so did Dachsbun while Crocalor was sat up, Pincurchin was is his regular position.
You smiled at the thought of seeing mom again, it had been such a long time since you actually had seen them.
You heard Grafaiai chittering and moving around outside.
Your Pokémon were asleep and after a little while you were asleep too, you knew Grafaiai would be awake for at least another 5 hours or even more since it depended on when the sun rose.
You had a pleasant sleep, you weren't disturbed by any sudden movement within the tent or outside of the tent. It was a blissful and calm night which you always cherished.
