"Yes my love" I answered her as I dropped to my knees. "Am sorry for being petty, love, I swear on your life I won't do it again, can you forgive me please" I begged with teary eyes as she rubbed her eyes finally having a clear look at me.
"Love" I felt her hands on my cheeks wiping my tears. "I forgive you, I am sorry for not explaining and telling you how I feel about it, but you didn't give me a chance to" she says now on her knees with me. "And as much as you look cute crying I want you to stop ok" she added, kissing my cheeks as we got up off the floor together.
"I promise never to ignore you again" I tell her as I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around me. "You sure?" she asked. "More than anything else in this life" I tell her as a smile forms on her face. That's my girl.
"Let's go eat, I made your favorite" she tells as I walk with her still my hands to the kitchen putting her to sit on the island chair.
Now in the kitchen, I had a scenic view of how the living room was re-arranged for our little private dinner; with 'YES' written on different shaped balloons, red candles lit to light up the room and most importantly her well decorated Christmas tree.
"I wanna talk" I finally say she finished pouring the wine. "Ok…did you read the letter?" she asked. "Yes and it is about that too.. I didn't consider your feelings when I asked you the question, I was very selfish…. because I didn't consider that you would want a relationship with my mother because yours is absent" I tell her as I eat some of the shrimp. It was so fucking good I let out a moan hoping she didn't hear.
"I know my food slaps but still" she says chuckling after.
"I do wanna have a relationship with your mother but it isn't because mine is absent, I feel like every woman or wife-to-be must have a good relationship with their partner's parent or parents. Moreover, in every relationship both partners must try and have a healthy relationship with their in-laws" she added as she fed me fries.
"That's so good….but as I said I didn't know you would care about that and I wanna change that and I wanna apologize for cursing at you".
"I also wanna apologize for not communicating properly with you and not understanding your feelings" she says. "I am also gonna have one more talk with my mother and if she still doesn't approve, that is a 'her' problem not a 'our' as you wrote" I tell her, because deep down I know my mom won't approve but I will do anything to please my woman.
"Stop…that line is so cheesy babe" she playfully slaps my arm.
"And if they don't approve, that's a 'their' problem and not an 'our' problem" I continue to mocked her earning another slap. "Stop Liam it's so cheesy" she commented, making me laugh. "You mean a meaningful cheesy line" I tell her which made us both die of laughter.
