Dran was flat out tired, Ravirk did try wake him up to call him for a meal but he simply could not wake up. Diritor came closer and began taking off Dran's leggings again.
-It looks fine, but I think from extended walk with so much on his back would weigh down his legs. Which I would reckon he definitely wants an extended rest before we go.
-We could use some rest, since it's snow outside I don't think Dran can stay in the snow for too long anyway. -Shawon said as he patted Dran's belly softly.
Everyone quickly finished off the meal and gathered around the fire, asked some about the village:
-This town strangely has not been named despite it had been up for quite a time now. I have not understood the reason it happened to be like this either.
-But any particular reason on why the fights went off all the time? -Worgan curious.
-If I'm correct, this may be a chaos mix of cultures. Some just do not match another and they throw hands at each other for even the slightest misunderstood.
-But what about you? Said to live here so where were you before coming here?
Loka stopped for a moment before he continued:
-I actually could not remember my hometown either, it been so long since I was mentioned about that place. Even then I was an orphan as they might have left me abandoned and someone raised me till I could move out.
Dran very lightly moved, he softly sat up as Shawon was holding on him and just said:
-Apologize for being late to the conversation but your spark of memory got me something.
-What do you mean by that?
-That a little sudden, I can read people's mind even I'm asleep and seeing you trying to piece together what you remembered got me recognized that place. And that place w-
-Wait! Are you mister DranGon?
-Oh oh yes I am. So you remembered where it was, don't you?
-I... still could not clearly remember the name.
-That where we were in before we got here. It was Dragonland. It was so happened that we were attacked before, so they might have left you hoping someone came for rescue.
Dran stopped, clumpsily stood up but immidiately kneed down:
-I'm so sorry for not noticing you at time, I could even see you saw me walk by the barrel on the stair and I could have taken you along the way. Please take this as my apology for such inconsiderate act.
Diritor pulled Dran down, softly patted on the back:
-Dran! You don't have to say such! Sit down like how you were.
-No, mister! You don't have to say that! -Loka was shocked and replied in haste.
Dran was pulled down, tightly sat but his huge body occupied a lot of the space and he went on:
-It was not like my responsibility since I wasn't much than a Guardian, but seeing a child being left uncare was a crime of its own. But that was all I could see from you and you seem to have forgotten about who got you instead.
Loka slowly came closer to Dran and hugged his huge body:
-No please don't feel like such, it was just my unfortunate luck in life that led me in that but... can I know more about the attack you said?
Dran took a long while to recall about it. Ravirk stood up and walked around into the bedroom.
A singular bed with a desk and a closet on the opposite of the bed. Openned the closet and he looked inside...
-The attack was done by the species we call Human, they were a lot more advanced in technology than what we had. I could not exactly remember what they had, though they put us down to the grim. Even myself I thought was the last survivor.
-And I was another lucky survivor too -Shawon added.
-Good job, Dad. I went up stair to the king's room where I may have passed you and they were still there patrol the place and took me down at last. Glad to have Diritor came to see me but...
-Oh dear Dran, you didn't really tell me much about who took you down at time though. But yes I heard the news so I came all the way from the forest we were sent to collect material to come back scout whoever was alive. It was surprised to see you... beated up.
Diritor patted Dran's head softly, and he just grabbed him and hugged him deep. Loka was still overwhelmed of how kind Dran was.
-And you are his dad, correct? -Loka looked at Shawon and he nodded:
-Still, it took me times to chase my son down after hearing he was severely injured and were being cured as he somehow got back to Diritor when such happening.
-Shawon, you don't have to hide about it. It was an awful mistake that I was sent to the war and Shawon was one to have chopped my back. I don't blame him, being in a war was simply alive or death so it would bound to happen...
Shawon felt down, Dran knew it beforehand and came closer and hugged him. Shawon just immidiately turned into Dran's bare chest and hugged him tightly, as like he wanted to tear out some.
-Dad, I still forgive you. Worgan wouldn't have learnt his lesson if you didn't end me and I may even had lost you, my dearest dad...
And the two just hugged tightly, tearing out. It was such a strong emotional moment everyone went quiet but some sobbing. The cracking noise of the fire got louder and louder as everything slowly went into the silence. And he proved to understand others thoroughly and fully giving his dad such forgiveness to overcome the trauma of hurting his own beloved son he adopted...
