CHAPTER 28

Complete fear and panic rushed over him like a wave as Li Ming came into the office. .

Yulong ran into their office and hugged Cheng Xing at the legs.

"Cheng Xing!" Yulong shouted. Cheng Xing picked Yulong up onto his shoulders.

"You're a lot heavier than I expected."

Wen Zhang rushed in but relaxed upon seeing Yulong sitting on Cheng Xing's shoulders.

"Sorry, sometimes he can be a bit annoying."

Cheng Xing smiled at Yulong and then looked back at Wen Zhang

"I want to stay with Cheng Xing."

"Cheng brother is a bit busy,"

Cheng Xing looks up at Wen Zhang.

"Actually, today I think we have some time to take care of Yulong."

Wen Zhang looks at Cheng Xing.

"Li Ming and I can take care of him."

Li Ming looks at Cheng Xing with terror written all over his face. Wen Zhang looks at Li Ming. Cheng Xing looks pleadingly at Li Ming.

'Please? Just once.' Cheng Xing pleaded to Li Ming in his mind.

"Li Ming, taking care of Yulong? I don't-"

Li Ming sighs and nods at Wen Zhang.

"I- Um, Ok well, be good," he said, surprised, before looking at Yulong and giving them both a glance before walking out. Cheng Xing puts Yulong down, grabbing hands. Cheng Xing looked over at Li Ming. Li Ming just glared at Cheng Xing.

"It'll be fun."

Cheng Xing led Yulong out the office. Li Ming smirked.

Yulong, Cheng Xing, and Li Ming were at a park. Cheng Xing holds Li Ming's hand was Yulong swings on the swing.

"Cheng brother, push me!"

Cheng Xing walked over and pushed Yulong, swinging him up on the swing. Li Ming watches as Cheng Xing pushes and smiles. Part of Li Ming was getting jealous- the kid was taking all the attention- but then he felt ridiculous. This was a kid, and this seemed to make Cheng Xing happy so...

Cheng Xing looked over to the bench only to realise Li Ming wasn't sitting there anymore. Cheng Xing turned around to see Li Ming walking back towards him with two cups of coffee. His boyfriend's eyes were soft as he looked at him and Yulong. Soft and warm and- oh so this is what love feels like. He never knew. Somehow, between the late-night talks and spars, he had fallen in love. And miraculously, Li Ming seems to reciprocate.... not knowing that his partner and lover was actually steel wrapped in flesh. A wolf in sheep's clothing. A pit grew in his stomach.

They were all sitting on a bench, Yulong licking the ice-cream and Cheng Xing drinking his coffee. Yulong ran off to play after he finished. Cheng Xing looks over at Yulong.

"He's energetic. Seems to like you a lot," Li Ming said.

"I wish I had a child."

Li Ming spat out his coffee and starts coughing. Cheng Xing goes and pats him on the back

"I'm fine," Li Ming said still coughing. Yulong came running back to them.

"I'm done."

Cheng Xing wiped Yulong's hands and mouth which was covered in ice-cream with a tissue

"We should go back now, it's getting late."

Yulong sat on Cheng Xing's back holding on his shoulder.

"Yulong, you're getting heavier now."

Cheng Xing puts Yulong down making Yulong run over towards Li Ming hugging his legs. Li Ming bends down letting Yulong hop on his back. Li Ming stands up and they both keep walking. Yulong eventually fell asleep on Li Ming's back.

"Li Ming, you had a partner before me, what happened?"

Cheng Xing voiced his question. Li Ming was silent for a moment before answering.

"There was an accident, partly my fault, which got him killed."

Li Ming didn't say anymore, and Cheng Xing didn't think it was a good idea to ask. They made it to Wen Zhang's house. They handed Yulong over to Wen Zhang.

"Thanks for today, Yulong has been wanting to see you."

Li Ming nods as Wen Zhang closes the door. Li Ming and Cheng Xing walk out

"Oh, I forgot, our car is still at the prefect," Li Ming said, putting his hand up to his forehead. Cheng Xing smiles and sighs

"I guess we just have to walk there."

Li Ming smiles and grabs hold of Cheng Xing's hand. They walk together back to the prefect and get back in the car, Li Ming now driving down the road.

"I thought we were heading home."

"Taking you somewhere special."

Cheng Xing and Li Ming sat across each other from the table. Li Ming had picked a small hole in the wall restaurant.

"Follow me."

They went through the back and came to a small alleyway which was lit up by a red and purple sign. Cheng Xing kisses Li Ming, adrenaline rushing through his body. Cheng Xing grunts and pushes Li Ming on the wall, peppering kisses along his neck. Li Ming brushes through Cheng Xing's hair. It was just so soft and fluffy under his fingers. Li Ming unbuttons his shirt with shaky hands, nearly ripping them off in the rush. Heat rose between them, a tremor in Li Ming's hands as he ran it down Cheng Xing's waist. A desire to want him in his arms. Cheng Xing touches Li Ming's chest, above his heart. He could feel his breaths quickening.

He runs his hands down Li Ming's chest to his waist and wrapped his arms around them. Cheng Xing stops his hand and looks up at him with a heated look, his eyes mischievous. Li Ming runs his hands up Cheng Xing's shirt and up his back, one finger tracing his scars. Li Ming leans in for a kiss. Cheng Xing's stomach grumbles. Li Ming looks down at Cheng Xing's stomach

"Are you feeling hungry?" Li Ming asked. Cheng Xing smiles.

"Give it a second."

Cheng Xing kisses Li Ming on the neck, blood rushing to his head.

"I always wanted to ask, but what's the tattoo on your neck?"

Cheng Xing had instant panic for a second, before remembering that he had 2 tattoos.

"I honestly don't know. It was always there."

Cheng Xing leans in again for the kiss when his stomach grumbles again. Li Ming buttons up his shirt and smirks

"Come on, let's eat," Li Ming said.

Li Ming dragged Cheng Xing back into the restaurant.

"Li Ming! Wait! Let me do up my shirt first!"
