He walked up towards the assassin's academy's doors and looked around. Cheng Xing looks in the offices, sidestepping the broken glass on the floor. A shadow leaped at him. Cheng Xing instantly grabbed a shard of glass and turns towards them. Cheng Xing turns to see Ping Heng.

"I'm sorry about Yulong, I didn't want to hurt him. I've come here quickly to warn you and apologise."

Cheng Xing rushes at Ping Heng angrily, using the broken glass as a weapon and tackling Ping Heng on the ground.

Cheng Xing lands on Ping Heng, glass raised above him. Da Qiang pushes Cheng Xing off Ping Heng. Standing in-between Ping Heng and Cheng Xing, splitting up the fight.

"Cheng Xing don't act rashly. You'll regret it," Da Qiang said.

"He nearly killed a 6-year-old."

"I came to apologise," Ping Heng argued.

Cheng Xing tries to rush at him, but Da Qiang stops him again.

"Ping Heng leave now!" Da Qiang shouted.

Ping Heng hesitates and leaves. Cheng Xing watches him leaving. Cheng Xing punches Da Qiang in the stomach out of anger and tries to run towards him. Da Qiang grabs his shirt and yanks him back, making him fall to the floor.

Cheng Xing turns and sweeps at Da Qiang's feet. Da Qiang dodges his sweep and moves back. Cheng Xing swiped the glass towards his head. He ducks. Cheng Xing grabs his arm and twists it, pulling Da Qiang towards him.

Cheng Xing stops. He slowly pulls, away looking at the makeshift blade that had gone through the gap between Da Qiang's arm and body, just barely missing stabbing Da Qiang. Cheng Xing drops the glass and collapses on the floor, leaning against a table. Da Qiang sits next to Cheng Xing.

"You be-friended Ping Heng out of all people," Cheng Xing huffed.

"You haven't had the chance to get to know him."

"I don't want to."

"That's your problem. You don't give him a chance."

Cheng Xing turns to Da Qiang. "Like you could? After everything?!"

"If you think about it, he came back to apologise to you in secret. He didn't mean to hurt Yulong, just like how Da An's death was an accident. What if he didn't have a choice? I've forgiven you about Da An's death."

Cheng Xing says nothing.

"Talk to him for once," Da Qiang said, getting up. Cheng Xing gritted his teeth.

"You can also tell Fen Yuhang I'm sorry," Da Qiang said, turning to look back at him.

Cheng Xing stood up and watched him leave.

Cheng Xing grabbed some weapons and headed off. He opened the piece of paper Xiao Mei gave him. There was a small note in it.

"Don't die, burn this when you're done."

Helpful. Cheng Xing thought sarcastically. He opened the larger paper to see what it was. It was map, with a route to go along marked on it. She had dotted where Li Ming's house was and where was now at, at the assassin's academy. In the distance he could see a large X reading YC.

He probably figured which meant Yanima Clan. He looked around his surroundings and walked forward whilst looking at the map.

"Never mind, it's this way," he said, turning around.

"Nope, wait no, it was this way," he said, walking back in the same direction. He looked up only to see he was standing exactly where he started.

She could have just sent like an address or given him a brief summary on how to follow maps, he thought sourly. He looked at the map again. He looked to his right and then to his left. Then he looked forward.

"Forwards it is then."
