CHAPTER 21 POV: Hariharan Sivakumar

When Kali attacked Percy, I was worried. If Percy is defeated and either killed or controlled by Kali, the whole ritual would go for a toss. Little did he know, he was my shield. That was the reason I did not create a bubble for myself to do the ritual, for until Percy was around and alive, no beam can hurt me.

I sensed Percy struggle with all the negativity. So, I helped him. His good memories from his early times in camp. With Grover and Annabeth. I could see him fighting Kali, which is a huge achievement in itself. It is because everyone has some evil which Kali taps into to control. But I chose Percy well. He has a very pure heart. He could be the only one who could resist Kali's advances and he really did it.

Meanwhile, Veda Vyasa was chanting the Mantras only he knows. It would help me connect with both powers, Vishnu and Shiva. After some time, I felt both powers coursing through me. Now for the next step and the dangerous step. The step which requires me to be protected by Percy. If Percy loses now, then everything would collapse and Kali would win.

I felt myself split into two, just like in a nuclear fission. One part filled with the Power of Lord Shiva; the other part filled with the power of Lord Vishnu. It was a new experience to say the least. Indescribable. Even when you see yourself in your mirror and act, the mirror self just reacts the same way you act. But this was not the case.

I could see from two perspectives at the same time. One perspective of me starting the Taandav and the other perspective creating a protective shield around Veda Vyasa and Percy. While I connected to the Powers of Lord Shiva to cause utter destruction in the battlefield, my other half managed to send Percy and Veda Vyasa to safety before being hit by Kali's beam. I bore its brunt until the whole bubble was reinforced with the Sudarshan Chakra.

I then faced the enemy. Kali. Grotesque beyond anything at the same time I was dancing my way to destroying the armies of the enemies. The Shiva side of me spotted Shukracharya next to Kali and got red in anger. The third eye would have opened had the Vishnu part managed to calm me down.

"So! You are Hariharan?!", Kali asked in the ugliest voice ever imagined. I just smiled. I had this in my bag.

"Yes. And I was born to stop your premature ascend!", I said and took out my Gada. The Kaumodaki Gada. Kali laughed like any average villain, but his voice looked was the most demonic.

"You are no fool. You know that only the Sudarshan Chakra can even attempt to hurt me. Take out Sudarshan Chakra from the protective shield and attack me.", he taunted. I knew his plan. If I take off the Chakra from the shield, then Kali can easily break the shield, manipulate the minds and lead to a civil war between the Greeks and Romans, which nearly happened.

This was my time to laugh. I genuinely laughed. Only if they knew.

"What is funny?", Shukracharya asked in anger. My Shiva part was now in the rhythm, and all the elements were under his control. But he was more pissed off by Shukracharya's idiocy.

"Shukracharya!!", I started in a sarcastically soft tone, "You call yourself a Shiv Bhakt right?", I said and he snapped.

"OF COURSE!!! I AM ONE OF LORD SHIVA'S PRIME DEVOTEES!!!!", He bellowed as Kali looked bemused.

"Remember Vrishabha Avatar?!", I asked and smiled slyly at him. He looked confused for a minute before something clicked and his eyes widened in realization. I gave a nasty smile on his realization!

"ADI SESHA!!", I bellowed out loud. From a portal, the Sesha Naga, the bed of Lord Vishnu, the thousand headed serpent arrived. It bowed to me when he recognized Lord Vishnu in me.

"Go to Patala and stabilize it while I use the Chakra. After used, the chakra will return to its place on its own. Then return to Vaikunta.", I said and stomped the ground with all my power. A huge crater formed in the middle of me and Kali which grew wide and wide. It went straight to Patala. Not Hades's underworld. They are two different planes. Adi Sesha slithered to Patala and I summoned the second Sudarshan Chakra. It was a replica and the first Chakra that Lord Vishnu had. It stayed at Patala to maintain the balance while Lord Shiva gifted me another Chakra.

On seeing the Chakra, Kali grew fidgety. He laughed but it was filled with nervousness.

"Can you kill me using its replica?", Kali asked.

"Not necessarily.", the Vishnu part said and released the second Chakra in the air. It shone brightly, not like the first one, but still brighter enough to blind Kali for a moment. Then the killer shot came.

While the Vishnu part was busy distracting Kali and attacking him head on with his Bow Shaaranga, the Shiva part had nearly reached the end of the dance. Taandav was of many types but this one was not mentioned anywhere. For its powers and consequences are too great to be disclosed to the Humans. Tattva Taandav.

(A/N: Totally made up 'Tattva Taandav'. I meant it to be a dance used to control all the five elements.)

As the Shiva part completed the dance, I felt the five elements come under my complete control. Agni, Vayu, Bhoomi, Varuna and Akash had to do my bidding. I had gained complete control. Now for the second step.

I called upon the powers. I extended my thumb finger and felt the fire respond to me as the power of fire entered my thumb. Next the index finger and I felt the power of air enter it, the middle finger for space and ether, the ring finger for Earth and by extending my last pinky finger, I connected and drew the power of Water. All five elements were now in my five finger tips. On closing the hand, I mingled all the five powers to form the supreme power. The supreme power and energy that Devi Shakti is the very personification of. The five energies, having five different auras, mingled to form one single dark blue-purple aura. This energy can create and destroy literally everything. Only the Trimurti would survive.

I shot that blue-purple beam to the Sudarshan Chakra. It was the only weapon other than the Trishula which could withstand the power of the beam. The Chakra absorbed the energy while the Vishnu part went and attacked Shukracharya. It was a no contest as Shukracharya was defeated handsomely and held captive.

The Chakra though golden, gave a bluish hue. The whole beam, mixed with the power of Lord Vishnu in the Chakra, hit Kali squarely on the chest. He roared in pain as the beam started to eat him off. But since it was his age and he is powerful, he took time and looked at me.

"You will die along with me. I will just wait for a few millennia.", he said in pain.

"I want that. And do you really think I fear of dying after knowing who I actually am?", I asked him. He just gave a shocked look before the beam reached the saturation point. The end of everything. The last thing I remembered was going deaf due to a loud noise and hit the ground due to sheer force indescribable. I blanked out.
