CHAPTER 22 POV: Percy Jackson

"What do you mean by a shroud??!", Annabeth screeched in shock.

"Hari will die, Annabeth. There is no other way.", I explained.

"Percy! Is there no way to save him?", She asked.

"Would I be standing here if I knew of one?", I snapped. She shook her head after a minute of silence.

"It is hard for me too Annabeth. But I had a major debate with Hari on this. But debating was not my strong suit. He convinced me. This was the best way. If he didn't do this way, then it would have been selfish on his part, which no Avatar is!", I bellowed as a few tears fell from my eyes.

"Since when did you know?", She asked.

"For a couple of days. He said something about a bigger picture....", I was interrupted when the ground shook again violently. I looked outside to see the awesome scene.

All of was watched in awe the events that unfolded. The sudden entry of Adi Sesha. The second Chakra! We lost it when we saw the second Sudarshan Chakra. We were all shocked to see a second Chakra. I looked at Veda Vyasa who looked the least perturbed.

"Munivar? What is this second Chakra?", I asked.

"Once, due to the boon of a few Apsaras, Lord Vishnu had to stay with them as their husband and raise a family. He stayed in Patala with the Apsaras and begot children which were a nuisance to the universe.

To restore balance, Lord Shiva had to bring back Lord Vishnu to his duties, so he killed all of Vishnu's children. This enraged Vishnu which led to a big war between the two forces. It was stalemate and went on for centuries.

In the end, Lord Ganesh had to intervene and helped Lord Vishnu realize his actual duties. He also convinced the Apsaras to relieve Lord Vishnu from the boon. After relieved from the boon, Lord Shiva instructed Lord Vishnu to instantly go to Vaikuntha and restore the balance of the universe. But his Sudarshan Chakra was till in Patala.

So, Lord Shiva, said to leave the chakra at Patala and gifted him another Chakra. The second Chakra was used ever since by Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and other Avatars while the first Chakra remained in Patala, helping in the balance of universe.", Veda Vyasa explained.

"Now what?", Annabeth asked from behind.

"Nothing. Hari will defeat Kali.", I said in a heavy tone.

And did he not do it in style. Kali never stood a chance. The Vishnu part rushed and captured Shukracharya in some magical bonds and rushed him to the bubble. The seven Chiranjeevis apprehended him and kept him from escaping. Then something happened which no one would ever forget in their mortal and immortal lives.

As Hari extended each of his finger, the five elements attracted to the finger like iron to magnet. The power of the five elements. All were in finger tips. When Hari closed his fist to allow the powers to mingle, it gave out the most beautiful blue aura anyone ever saw. It looked more like Chaos's aura. It was then I realized it. The five elements are the source of creation. And Chaos is the creator of the universe. Hence Hari has invoked the power of creation. The gods looked in utter disbelief. Athena was drooling on seeing something she never saw before. Had Zeus been around, then he would have flooded the bubble with his drools.

The Sudarshan Chakra, after absorbing the blue-purple beam shot is straight at Kali's chest. He writhed in pain and looked at Hari with fear. He had a short conversation with Hari which none of us could hear. At that moment, my heart dropped because I could feel something would happen now. And it did happen.

At one point, there was a blast. It was such a huge blast, it blinded us. It was soundless, maybe it was at a frequency which we humans could not pick up. All gods held their ears as if they gone deaf. Apollo, Asclepius and the Ashwini Twins would have to distribute medicines to the gods to heal their hearing. Then the whole bubble broke with a resounding crash. Debris of energy hit us but did us no harm as the bubble dissolved. What we saw next was just black sand.
