Percy Jackson and the Incarnate-5: The Mahayudha

EPILOGUE POV: 3rd Person

"Percy! Our baby is about to get born.", Annabeth screamed as she held her abdomen in pain. It was a rough pregnancy. And Percy could not believe it had been already six months. Six months of attaining godhood. Six months of being immortal and living with Annabeth. And five months of being the King of Olympus.

Let us rewind a bit. Percy accepted Godhood along with Annabeth. Annabeth became the goddess of Architecture and intellect and became the official architect of Olympus. She was planning a new Athens, like the new Rome in Camp Jupiter and was coming along very nicely.

When Percy was made God, the fates themselves appeared in the Throne room. He was made the Olympian god of Tides, Swordsmanship, Loyalty and Demigods. Since there was imbalance, the fates made Annabeth as an Olympian too, now the council has eighteen Gods. The balance was maintained and also, more decisions could be taken.

After a month, a big surprise waited for him. Jason called for a meeting and resigned as the king of the Gods. All gods except for Percy and Annabeth had expected this and both were surprised when it happened. But they got the shock of their lives when A majority of the gods voted them to be the king and Queen respectively.

"NO! Being a God is okay. Being an Olympian is crazy! But I cannot accept being the king of Olympians.", Percy vehemently objected. But there were many arguments. So many arguments that Hestia had to intervene.

"Enough!", she screamed and everyone turned silent.

"See. Look how much Hestia commands respect. She would be the best candidate to rule us.", Percy chimed in.

"Sorry Percy! I am not interested. Besides, it is just temporary. Remember that Zeus is undergoing his trials. It is just a matter of a few centuries.", she said.

"Then why me of all others?", he asked.

"Because you don't want to. You have no desire to be a King Percy! And that makes you the perfect candidate. The power transition when Zeus returns would be smooth. Anyone else, be it Poseidon, or Hades or even Apollo or Hermes, all will get attached to it, but not you. I propose that Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase be crowned the Temporary King and Queen of Olympus until Zeus finishes his trials. When Zeus finishes his trials and reclaims his throne, Hera would be reinstated as the Queen of Olympus on her interest.", Hestia proposed.

"As my final decision. Let us vote. Raise hands if you agree with the proposal after my resignation.", Jason said. Almost unanimously, all voted in favor and Percy had to grudgingly accept the crown.

A month after, Percy and Annabeth married. The ceremony was beautiful and all of the Greek Pantheon were invited. Even people from other pantheons were invited. Sadie and Carter, Magnus and Alex all were invited. Even Ashwatthama and Hanuman came on behalf of the Hindu Pantheon. All went as per plan. When the vows were completed and they kissed, flower petals showered on them from the sky. All looked in awe. No one knew who did it, But Percy felt his heart warm. He heard the voice of his friend who laid down his life to save all others.

"Have a good married life, Percy.", the voice of Hari echoed in his head as he smiled. Even Annabeth smiled; even she heard it. And the ceremony went beautifully as planned.

They had a heated honeymoon and the very next day, they found out about Annabeth being pregnant. And Percy being the gentleman he was, held on and helped Annabeth during her Pregnancy, surviving through all those mood swings. Four months to now, they are going to be parents.

"Just a bit more. The baby is going to come out.", Artemis said. Being the goddess of Childbirth, she had graciously agreed to help Annabeth deliver her first child. Annabeth screamed so loud; any mortal would have gone deaf. But her screams were drowned in another scream. The scream of new life. The baby was born. It was a beautiful Baby boy who had tufts of blond hair. As he opened his eyes, Percy was greeted with green eyes like his. He was beyond elated. Hera, who was seated in her throne and Aphrodite, who was doing her makeup, got a huge power jolt when they felt the Love of Percy for his son. Both smiled as Percy would care for that son like no other Olympian would.
