Tobin's POV

"Hey Sky, wake up its time for school." I whispered, knocking on her door. It was 7am, and she said that she had to be in school by 8:30. That meant we had about an hour before I had to drive her. It had worked out perfectly for me, as since training didn't start until 10, I was able to take Sky to school and back and still have enough time to change and drive to the hotel in time for the coach ride to the pitches.

I heard nothing coming from the other side of the door, so I pushed it open lightly, listening to the sound of Sky's soft breathing. I nudged her slightly, watching her stir.

"M- morning Toby." She mumbled, pulling the blankets back over her face.

"Hey." I replied. "You ready for school?"

"It's too early." She moaned, pushing me back away from her.

"Do you remember what happened last night?" I asked, opening her curtains. "About the national team?"

She opened one eye, straining from the sunlight flooding into the room.

"National team... Wait, national team?! I said yes to Jill. Omg." She said and sat up on her bed. "I'm a soccer player."

"Yes you are a soccer player Sky, but first you have three more weeks of school." I reminded her, rolling her off the bed as I laughed. I wasn't laughing for long, however. Before long she had sprung up off the floor, diving towards me.

"HEY, TOBY GET BACK HERE!" she yelled, chasing me around her bed.

She lunged for my shirt, pulling me to the ground.

"AHHHH!" we screamed as we tumbled into a bundle on the floor, giving me a perfect opportunity to tickle her, starting with the neck and making my way to her feet. She cringed, a huge smile on her face.

"Okay, okay Toby I'll get ready for school." She gave in, panting as she crawled up off the floor.

"Good, I'll see you downstairs." I laughed, making my own way down for breakfast.

Sky's POV

I strolled into the bathroom, showering before slipping on my clothes from yesterday. I guess my friends would have to deal with it while I sorted out my wardrobe situation. Slipping my phone into my pocket, I slung my school bag over my shoulder and traipsed downstairs to the smell of guacamole and eggs frying on the hob.

"Smells nice Toby." I said, alerting her to my presence.

"Thanks double L," She replied, turning to look at me, "I've had a word with Jill. I'm going to pick you up from school after training and were going to drive to your parents' house. Get your clothes quickly, in and out. Please try not to get into any trouble Sky, we need you alive for the camp."

I nodded, taking it all in. "Okay. Thank you Tobin."

She slipped a bagel onto my plate, spreading the guac and placing the egg on top.

"Do you have everything you need for the first few periods today?" She asked as I tucked in. This was the best breakfast I'd ever had, the bagel crispy with the right amount of egg and guacamole. I wish I could live with Tobin forever.

"Yep, I think so." She handed me a granola bar, patting my back as she left the room to get her own soccer bag and cleats.

I whipped out my phone, looking at all the messages from my friends. It seems like they're pleased that I'm back at soccer, Casey and Tegan especially. I love them so much.

Casey 😘
