WHEN (Y/N) PASSED THE FINISH LINE before everyone else, she ignored the subtle shift of the circle-masked guards who were surprised that she had finished so early. What was more, they had noticed that she didn't even seemed to be gazed from the amount of death from just this first game alone.
It was as if she already knew.
It was unnerving.
"Isn't this funny?" (Y/n) laughed to the nearest guard who immediately tuned in to her, the other doing the same. "You would think we wouldn't keep playing... but here we are, not even looking back at the dead. I know you won't answer, so allow me to just keep talking. There were a couple of mistakes made about these games. The first one was the password used, then the walls that could be seen even with beds blocking most of the images, and finally, the cameras. At first I thought it was just obvious precautions, but then when I saw the panels here... something that was quite similar to my training in the army... I started to think."
To manipulate a situation... you need to grab a hold of it. And then you can do whatever the hell you want with it.
Stepping in front of the masked guard nearest to her, the same one from the car and the one from that morning whom she gave her consent form to, she smiled and continued, "You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all this... why I chose to reveal this... or you're probably wondering when I'm going to shut up, right?"
The guard farthest from her coughed, the first sign of life from them.
(Y/n) hummed at that.
Before she could speak again, more players started to cross the finish line, so she left her speech off at that, unknowingly making the two guards narrow their eyes at such a bold move. She wasn't surprised when seeing the man and younger woman who had fought earlier that day cross the finish line—players 101 and 067–along with Sang-woo and player 456 who had been talking with him before the start of the game. She also spotted player 199 cross the line, having singled him out because she was impressed when he was able to hold up 456 with just one arm alone. Someone she was surprised to see cross the line was player 001, he being a rather old man who she assumed to be in his eighties or nineties.
