❛❛ HEY, SSANGMUN-DONG, ❜❜ DEOK-SU snickered as he approached Gi-hun, leaning against one of beds that served as a divider between the two men. "I appreciate the work you're doing. It's nice. But do you think it will do anything? We can get through all of this easily."
He chuckled wickedly.
"You're not worried at all?" Gi-hun instead stated as he gestured his head toward Deok-su's group. "Those scumbags you got on your side over there? They're people you trust?"
At that, the man's smile faded.
He looked over his shoulder at his team, two of them horsing around while the others laughed and watched, his wariness growing.
"If that was me over there..." Gi-gun continued. "...once the fighting starts to happen, you'd be the first person I'd go for since you're the strongest person here."
"And if they don't finish you..." (Y/n) cut in with a devilish smile. "...I'll kill you myself."
Gi-hun chuckled awkwardly as he backed her up so he could finish placing up the border, blocking out Deok-su who by then could only stare at (Y/n) until she was hidden behind the barrier with a rather uneasy expression on his face. Gi-hun's and (Y/n)'s words struck a chord in him that made him both anxious and suspicious about the night ahead. It also led him to decide that he and his team wouldn't attack anybody, something that surprised many.
"Why are you trying to provoke him like that?" Gi-hun now questioned (Y/n) after Deok-su had stalked away.
"He deserves it."
"Ah... yes... probably... but to threaten that you will kill him... don't you think that gives him all the more reason to try and kill you first?" He said with a pointed look directed towards her.
She didn't say anything, but her lips were still tilted upward in a tantalizing smile.
"What's going on here?" Sang-woo approached them whilst exhaling heavily, his hands on his hips in a way to catch his breath since he was tired from setting up everything. "What's this about someone being more likely to kill her? What happened? Was it 101 again and his group?"
