Chapter seven

"I tried it, but it didn't work. They just said thanks, and that was it. Then when dovepaw came back from a hunting patrol, they all congregated her. You said it would work, why didn't it?" I asked hawkfrost.
I was back in the field again. I tried what hawkfrost told my to do just that vary day, and it didn't work.
"I don't know why it didn't work. It should've worked. But, can I give you another suggestion?"
"Sure."
"Set her up. Break the code and then make sure she gets the blame."
"I don't know...."
"You said that you wanted the attention back, so what's stopping you from getting it? Look at all that your sister has done. What has she done that has helped you? You always help her, but dose she ever help you?"
"No, but..."
"Think about it."
I thought for a moment, then knew my answer.
"I'll do it. Tell me how."
After he told me how, he said:
"Want to play a game?"
"Sure."
"It's called chase, I'll be it first. All you have to do is catch me, but when you do you have to pin me to the ground for three seconds, then you win. If you never catch me, I win. If you pin me down but I get up before three seconds, then unless you can pin me down again, I win. Got it?"
"Ok."
That sounds fun!
He started running, but I was faster. It didn't take long before I had him pinned down.
One...two...three!
I got up and let him go.
"Ha! I win!"
"You win this time, but next you won't!"
"I can take that bet anytime!"
"Let's play again!"
He ran off, and I followed him.
It feels so good to be just running like this! Having fun, and not having to worry!
"Can't get me!" He yelled
Oh yes I can.
I eventually caught him, and pinned him to the ground.
One...two...three!
"Ha! Got you again!" I said, letting him up.
"I suppose you did." He said, a big smile on his face.
He was at his happiest, and so was I.
I never want this to end.
