"obviously they're hiding something big." I say, back in the dark forest.
"I agree, but what?" Hawkfrost asked me.
"No idea, but i'm going to find out."
"how?"
"I...I don't know...but one way or the other, i will find out."
"I can help you."
"How?"
"We can come up with a plan together."
"okay."
"but first, some training."
"okay, what are you going to teach me?"
"how to tell the difference between dead, and limp."
"what do you mean, dead and limp?"
"you know how; when you are battling a cat, and you pin some cat down, the essayist thing that they can and will do, is go limp, so that you'll think there dead?"
"yeah, what about it?"
"what if there was away to know that there not dead, and really just pretending so that you can play a trick on them yourself?"
"you can teach me that!?"
"yep. Lay down on the ground, and pretend to be dead."
"okay."
I did as he said, and he got on top of me.
"Now I want you to try and escape me, but go limp after a few try's."
I tried these four things;
First, i tried to Kick him off me using me hind legs. It didn't work.Second, i tried to, Use my front legs to kick him off me. It didn't work.
Third, I tried to push myself up using my whole body. It didn't work.
Fourth, I tried to move from side to side, and back and forth, to escape. It didn't work.
Finally, i went limb, waiting to see what he would do.
He started to get up, slowly. Once he had fully let go of my scruff
(but still on top of her),
I pushed myself up, but was only able to half way when I felt a tug at the back of my neck.
I was being pulled backwards now. Before I knew it he had threw me against a tree.
He was now standing a tail length away from me, triumph in his eyes.
What!? How!? But I...How!?
"Teach me how! Please!"
"Of course, that is why I showed you this, is it not?"
We both stared at one another, amazement in my eyes, amusement in his.
