A/n- so sorry for not updating for a while but I am inundated with work for college so much so I haven't even been able to enjoy being at home but I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I'm currently back in London but left my design book at home which I desperately need for college and I can't believe it but whatever. I have designs for their ball outfits I will post them later cos yall neeeeed to see the vision i swear. Also had to tell you all that I got an antique 1902 singer for Christmas and it is my life and soul 😎also I'm gonna start a Larissa weems fic as well soon and I know you all whores so look out.

"Well I suppose I better be checking around to make sure everything is going perfect" said Dovey before smiling and wondering off.
At this point everyone else seemed to be dancing and Lesso looked at you with a raised brow and a smirk. God how you hated her and loved it.

"Care to dance flower?" The dean held out a hand for you to take, you didn't say a word but smiled, nodded and took her hand. Making your way through the crowds of students, Lesso led you towards the centre of the room where everyone was dancing. You could feel eyes on you as She grabbed you, a hand of yours in hers and her other hand resting on your waist; you instinctively placed your other arm around her neck. Your shared closeness felt comforting, you didn't like how easily you felt this way as you became more aware of the stares of students.

Leaning closer to your dance partner, you whispered "everyone is staring" and looked around the room warily. Lesso rolled her eyes "let's give them something to stare at them." As soon as she said this her finger began to glow and the once calm piano music turned upbeat as Wade in the water began to play. Lesso took her hand away from your waist and spun you around and then pulled you close again. You laughed in surprise at her sudden change in tempo and she smirked. Everyone in the room was staring with wide eyes.

(Ok so just imagine this like the first dance scene in last night in soho but it's just Lesso and y/n and if you haven't seen it please watch a YouTube video you won't regret it)

"How well can you dance" Lesso asked as she spun you around again and once you came to face her you said "I'm a princess, how well can a crow fly?"
The dean smirked.

Both of you danced to the song in between laughs and the whole place felt still apart from you and the music: that was because everyone else just stared. Were they staring in awe or shock and disgust? You didn't know, but you didn't care to find out because you were only thinking about one thing. The devil woman in front of you.

And as she pulled you closer again, she uttered "ohhh Dovey does not like this" spinning you around one last time, the music ended and you landed with a gasp in her arms. Out of breath you stared at her, and her at you. Not moving for what felt like an eternity. Completely encapsulated by this woman, who you hated to love.

Dovey stood from the end of the room, smoke practically billowing out of her ears in clouds of rage. You finally broke your trance with Lesso and as you looked over at the dean you realised it would be wise to lay of the dancing for a few songs.

Lesso placed a hand on your shoulder, she looked a little scared which was new "I think we should go get some drinks"
You nodded and you both wandered off. Dovey clapped her hands and the peaceful music resumed.

You and Lesso sat at the edge of the room, a glass of wine in your hand, and a glass of whiskey in hers however you had drank very little and were just swirling around the crimson liquid like it was a sea of blood. Dovey would probably fire you both - even if that was even possible - if she saw you both dancing again.

Slowly, the people and the noise were getting a lot and you felt as if you weren't completely in the moment: only sustained by the warmth of the evil woman next to you.
