Lesso stood and watched from behind as you began to speak to the students and she wondered if she had really been that obvious to others with how much she stared at you: she didn't know if you saw how she looked at you, or wether you were still clueless, but she was slightly annoyed at Uma for bringing it up. The dean stared intently at the back of you and let her mind drift, yeah she liked you but she told herself that loving a princess would not be okay ' I am evil' she reminded herself 'y/n is good. Evil can't love, good can. It is simply out of the laws of nature'

So why couldn't she stop thinking about it?

You walked your students into the forest with Lesso tagging at the back of the group, pretending not to care.

"It is impossible to survive any fairytale if you can not survive the woods" you said as you walked them further into the forest "the forest is deceptive, sometimes what may look pretty, could kill you"

As you said that last bit you looked directly at Lesso and then quickly away again, you blushed as your eyes met. Today you had decided to tell them about pretty pansies and now as you stood here, trying to avoid looking at the dean who stood behind the crowd of students you realised perhaps you chose to speak to them about pretty pansies as they reflected your inner conflict about Lesso. Pretty but deadly. You shook the thoughts from your head and tried to focus on your job.

Walking up to the field of pink flowers, you were about to demonstrate, you provoked one of the flowers but nothing happened. "Ah, hm, as I suspected they won't bite me because of my connection to nature." You stood there wondering how to demonstrate, you couldn't call on one of the students otherwise they would get harmed. "Well these are pretty pansies, they may look very pretty but, if you step too close, they will give the average person a nasty bite"

You noticed that the students were looking at the flowers sceptically, then Lesso pushed her way through the small crowd, exited to perform for the group.

"Well clearly you are all cowards!" Lesso announced with an air of arrogance about her and placed her infamous staff right in front of the flower which without hesitation bit the end of it clean off, before Lesso's finger glow repaired it again. She looked really proud of herself and smug for being braver than a bunch of teenagers, this made you smile.

"Thank you Lesso for being soooooo daring" you praised her sarcastically and she shook her head playfully before returning to the back. All of sudden, the students seemed much more weary of the flowers that were on either side of them.

"Right!" You announced as you and the group moved through the sea of carnivorous flowers. Then you stopped in front of what looked like a scarecrow but with a pumpkin head, a reaper "now, my favourite place in the blue forest"

As you said this, you stood right next to a reaper and Lesso shouted "yeah I bet it is!" , referencing your comment this morning, and thinking she was exceptionally funny, but you were becoming a bit more confident around the dean now. A lot less willing to let her push you around anymore than she already did: I mean, come on, she occupied your mind enough already.

"No heckling, that includes teachers too!" you rolled your eyes and some of the students laughed at Lesso who wasn't happy at being told off. "Anyway, as I was trying to say" you began again "the pumpkin patch, peaceful and beautiful by day, but by night, a literal death trap where reapers will drink your blood and sell your limbs for spoils!" You gestured to the reaper next to you.

One of the princes towards the front laughed "yeah right, that's just a scarecrow" His friends around him laughed at his comment. You couldn't stand teenage boys, especially arrogant Evers.

Seeing an opportunity here to be a little mean, you used your finger glow to bring it to life, its eyes and mouth roared with fire as it lunged at him. The prince and his friends screamed in terror and you stopped the reaper just before it got them, it fell over on the floor, its limp body in the dirt. Their faces were bright red with shame The other students laughed at them.
