Janani aka Jaanu- A sweet, innocent 21 year old girl with an average height. She has a Bachelor degree in Art. Wheatish in complexion. Hopelessly in love with her Aadi Mama, from a very young age. Wants to become a wonderful Architect in near future. Loves her family to the moon and back. Can't tolerate a single word against her father. Apple of her parents' eyes. Misses her Aadi Mama very much. She's a pampered kid of her family because she was born much after Kowshik.
Male Lead's Family:
Mangalam- Mother of Aadithya and Anusha. Envious and egoistic woman. She loves her son way too much that sometimes she becomes controlling and manipulative. She is very insecure when it comes to her son's love. Doesn't like her husband's sister's family at all. Feel envious of their wealth.
Kathiravan- Father of Aadi, a sensible father and loves his children unconditionally. Loves his sister and her family a lot, because his sister's husband is none other than his best friend. But is manipulated by his wife and thus feels deceived by them in a land matter. They are not in talking terms now. A retired post master, owns a small book stall in his locality.
Anusha- Caring sister of Aadi, a lovely daughter to her parents and best friend of Janani. Loves Ramkumar, her fiancee.(21 years)
Female Lead's Family:
Savithri-Mother of Janani and Kowshik. A lovely mother, supportive wife and a caring sister. She is an ideal woman, that every one desires to be.
Ragupathi- A sensible man who loves his children unconditionally, just like his best friend. He admires his wife a lot, respects her and loves her equally. An ideal husband to his wife and a pakka gentle man. Wants to clear the misunderstanding of his friend and renew their friendship soon. A retired VAO, owns a small texile shop in his town.
Kowshik- Husband of Swetha, caring brother and a good son to his parents, was once a best friend to Aadithya. Now they aren't very much in contact, because of their parents dispute.(28 years)
Swetha- A sweet lady, wife of Kowshik loves her husband and his family just like her own.(24 years)
