"Ennanga, did Kathir Anna really invite us for Shobi's engagement?" Savithri asked sitting beside him in the swing in the balcony, where he was relaxing post dinner. This was their daily routine. During this time, they discuss important issues regarding their health, family, kids etc and have a heart-to-heart talk with each other and come to an unanimous conclusion. The couple believe that for every successful relationship, communication is the key. They not only follow it, but also try to pass it on to their kids- Kowshik, Swetha and Janani.
Whenever a dispute arises between Kowshik and Swetha, their first advice would be to sit together and talk about the issue. 'Communication can solve even the toughest problems with simplest solutions'- is what they believe in. They learnt the importance of Communication in a relationship the hard way, so they value it more than anything else.
"Yes Savi, he really invited us." he replied to his wife while gazing at the full moon. From his tone, she could identify that there was lot more to the matter than what he says.
"Only that?" she asked, swinging the swing lightly. She knows that Mangalam wouldn't have accepted it so easily, for she's really against their family from the very start.
"No, he invited us for Shobi's sake. He told me that she was enthusiastic about inviting us to the function, but then Mangalam refrained her from doing so. You know what, she even threatened our Shobi saying that she won't attend the engagement if we come." he told his wife, focussing back at her.
"Then, why has he invited us?" Savithri asked skeptically.
"As I said before, for Shobi's happiness. He wants to fulfill her one and only wish. That is to see us all reunited back together. He's ready to even let go off all the grudges he has against us, for her sake." Raghu beamed at her. But hearing his words, Savitri's face fell and she became worried which puzzled Raghu.
"So, Anna just wants to forget the past and move on? But he still doesn't realise that we weren't at fault. How can we prove our innocence to him..! God, help us somehow." she prayed aloud.
"Savi, listen. There is a apt time for everything. Don't feel sad thinking that he didn't realize our innocence. Instead, look at this positively, after all these years, he has finally agreed to invite us for a family function. He is ready to get reunited with us." he said comforting her.
"How are you so optimistic always?" Savitri admired her husband.
"Savi, Right things happen at the right time. Neither good nor bad moments are permanent." he said to her.
"Appa, why suddenly so much of advise to Amma?" asked Kowshik and Jaanu walking in to their balcony.
"Ah.. nothing like that." Raghu tried to dismiss it of soon when Savi wantedly pulled his legs saying-
"Oh Jaanu, what to do? Afterall what else does oldies like him do?" she chuckled.
"Ahh..YOU!" Her husband's mouth fell open in a 'O' shape hearing her comment.
"But Athai, You actually look older than him." Swetha joined their conversation from the middle bringing the couple two glasses of milk.
"True!" Raghu agreed and high-fived with her happily.
The children along with her husband had a good laugh at her expense.
"Swetha!" her mother in law condemned in a strict voice. For a moment, all the naughtiness vanished from her face hearing this tone, but then Savi immediately laughed looking at her daughter in law's pale face.
"Look at you! You became pale like seeing a ghost! God!" Savi said in between her hearty laugh.
"Uff! Amma, you really scared us for a moment!" Jaanu sighed side hugging her sister in law, subtly comforting her.
