I've learned in life, to just move on. When you make a mistake, keep going and don't let it hold you back. When someone leaves you, learn to live with out. When you find out you're going to die, let life continue.
And that's exactly what I did.
And life continued.
I really didn't know what to do after that second bell chimed through my ears. So I just got up and pretended that it didn't happen. That all was well. That I was fine.
I let myself be normal, complete all the activities and games, laugh with the boys, dance around the fire, it all.
Something about my break down after the second bell ticked, made Pan even more evil. He doesn't smile, he doesn't care for anything, he's just a ball of fire.
I stretch my legs out of my bed, ready for a torturous day. It's becoming hard to track days here, but I do know it's been around 6 days since my clock ticked for the second time.
In those six days, absolutely nothing interesting has happened. This place is just getting worse and worse.
I step out of my hut and into the fresh air, only to find absolutely no one. Where are they all?
I make my way to the fire circle, still confused at the absence of the boys.
Finally, out steps Pan. He looks as evil as ever, and quite frankly, it gives me chills.
I turn to face him, ready to speak, but when I open my mouth, nothing comes out.
He furrows his eyebrows, "Good Morning to you too."
"Good Morning Pan." I say very softly. "Where are the rest of the boys?"
"Out. " He states, while sitting on one of the logs in the circle. He pulls out his knife and begins playing with the sharp top.
"Should I go meet them?" I ask, taking a step back.
Still playing with his knife, he replies, "That won't be necessary. I would like us to have a chat. "
I swallow and nod my head, though he doesn't see me because of his discretion with his knife.
I continue to stand as he begins to talk.
"Aria, are you afraid of me?"
My eyes begin to widen as he asks me this. Is this a trick?
"No. " I say with all my might.
He finally makes eye contact with me before standing up from his spot.
He stands, with his knife to his side, a tall towering figure draped in green. He wears a light frown on his blank face. His eyes a turning to the color of death.
He takes a step towards me, and I take a staggering step back.
"Are you sure?" He asks in a menacing tone. He takes a few more steps towards me and I continue walking backwards.
I nod my head slowly until my back hits the rough texture of a tree and I'm stuck there with Pan less than an inch from my face.
"Remember your first day you were here? Remember the third rule I told you to follow?" He asks, moving his hand to the side of my head, leaning on the tree.
It takes me a second to remember, but I do. "You said to never lie to you. You said you'd always find out. "
"Exactly. And you just broke that rule."
I don't reply as I stare at him with wide eyes.
"Why do I scare you?"
"I-I don't know. " I stutter.
