"y/n? Could you be more dramatic?" You hear her chuckle from below you. A smile tingles your lips, that you try to smother from existence.

"Okay... i guess you won't get that kiss" she says playfully. You immediately want to get to her, as much as you want to stay mad. You eventually give in with a sigh and a roll of the eyes. Your wings spread as you flip off of the tree making the girl -your girlfriend, Emily- gasp, as you land gracefully in front off her.

"You scared the birds out of me!" She exclaims hand on her chest.

"Sorry Em" you say laughing a little.

"What changed your mind?" She asks, confusing you.

"Oh- about coming down?" You ask realising what she means. She hums and nods, making you give her a grin.

"I came for my kiss" you say giving her the puppy eyes.

"Oh you-" she laughs out, grabbing you right under the wings, and kissing you. You chuckle a little at this before pulling away, and walking in with her.

"So did Miss Nightingale want anything?" You ask, remembering why you had hidden in the first place.

"Well she just wanted to do the weekly check-in" she says making you glance over.

"Oh... i though i was in trouble" you say looking down.

"You always think that. She loves you! And she's not like your parents." Emily simply states. Or well, not so simple but anyways!

"I know. I just- don't know?" You say making both of you chuckle.

"Now come on, Melanie wanted you to read for her." She says as she runs off you following. Not a lot of the children here could read. Emily couldn't. And Miss Nightingale was often too busy, so you would do that for them. It was actually really lovely.

"Come on!" Emily yelled from the living room making her get a scolding 'no yelling inside' from Miss Nightingale. You laugh a little before flapping your wings to get there faster.
